Looks like rain
And here too Lisa, but the met office are still saying only a small risk of a shower. I'm going to risk it and leave the roof off I think (that's guaranteed rain then )
Forecast says no rain, but its looking doubtfull in Belper, it has brightened up a little though, managed to wash & leather the car without getting any rain on it.
Great to see everyone again and meet some new peeps, namely mr scissors (can't remeber your user name - sorry!), sideways 500, kevin63, V8OHV (did I meet you? I find it hard to remember everyone , John Ison (fab car - sounded rather impressive too ) and Kojak. Lovely to see you again Ballistic - nice motor And it was lovely to meet Rude Girl's mates Neil & Pam (Pam's a right laugh!). Thanks Andy for a really fabulous blast in the Wedge. It is such an amazing car and it sounds absolutely wonderful. And Tom, we could hear you for what was a good quarter mile after you left!

Most memorable car of the evening?.... Lots to choose from, but surely the Beetle walks away with it?
So the Beetle made it there - did it manage to get back as well?
I had hoped to get there but had a meeting in the afternoon and ended up chatting to a business colleague until well into the evening - after 10pm. I would have suggested we chatted in Matlock but he had to get back to London and I thought adding 60 miles to his journey, starting by going in the wrong direction, might not be appreciated!
Hopefully next time ...

Certainly made an impression did that Beetle. My ears are still ringing
I didn't pass Tom on the way back to Nottingham, so he must have got home ok. Mind you, I did give him a twenty minute start
Sorry you couldn't make it Grant. See you in a couple of weeks I hope
I really enjoyed it. Baby Fish is lovely, isn't he?
Thanks to Warren for the lift to the Chippy. James is a nice lad, I'm amazed when I meet PHers kids at how well they handle themselves at 'adult' events. You should be proud.
Ems, Neil and Pam are great aren't they - I've known them both for about 20 years now (I can't believe I'm old enough to have known someone for 20 years!). Not sure what they think to us now, especially after our discussion at the bar!!!
