So what you are saying is that on this particular Beetle there was only one nut behind the steering wheel?

Hmmm sounds familiar

Well, now you mention it, yeeesss, I see what you mean.

Chap with the black beetle was attracted to interesting cars (Tick) and was only about 21/22 at the time (Similar/Tick).

I often wondered if and how he got insurance on the Healey at that age. He used to mutter something about a home address in Lincolnshire where nobody had heard of cars and had no idea about engine sizes ...

Tuesday.

That's very helpful neil, but I have a 2 hour drive to get there, and my friends are working in London, so they could do with an idea of whether they need to juggle their day.

Can anyone give me some more useful guidance?

7pm onwards, we usually hang around until closing time, with a run to the chippy anytime in between.

I shall be there in 'the crab'

After several false starts I've put enough pennies in my pocket for a chip supper, looking at weather it seems to rain on a 2 week cycle, lets hope it breaks that cycle tonight.

hey corinne, great to see you're coming!

I upgraded my insurance to cover breakdowns, so now I feel fully confident of travelling 35 miles in the bug..not that I wasn't going to do it anyway

shall we have a drag race between my beetle and the trabant? it's too tight to call it!

I'll pass on everyone's best wishes to Tracy. If she's feeling any better when I get home from work I'll see if she fancies popping over just to say hello for half an hour - it may cheer her up a bit
