What engine does your car have and what are the power and torque figures?
Year?
Its a 1998 355 F1 Berlinetta (paddle shift, don't believe what Clarkson says about em'...) 3500cc V8 with around 400brake (exhaust and chip). Dunno what the torque is, but the fun all happens between 6 and 8500 rpm. It sounds like an honest to god F1 car in a tunnel!

You may be interested to know that Enzo Ferrari said that up to 6000revs his cars were sports cars but between 6000 and 8000 they became Ferraris. Jonathan
Thanks for an enjoyable evening guys (and gals) real nice to meet up with you all, special thanks to Tom (??) for the pebbledashing. The youth of today ay? . Sorry I had to dash off, will stop a bit longer next time, but if its the 30th i definately can't make that one, which is a pity cause my little blue missle will be back by then. It does more donuts than a hungry Homer Simpson...
Good little meet again as usual, numbers down slightly but all those BEC's made up for it, they arrived like a swarm. Nice to see the 355 and the Viper came back.
A good run home along the A6, sorry if I was a nuisance in front of you Tom! I was probably slow enough to be in the way, but going fast enough to make overtaking me difficult
Must have been a funny sight though, a Fabia and a Ginetta doing synchronised overtaking

Didn't wait for me though I went the twisty back route via Crich. Soooo much more fun.

I'm sorry I missed that one. Not quite Torville and Dean though.
Great to see everyone again and some new faces with some different cars - not that I'm getting bored with TVRs or anything
What a very pleasant evening and a nice selection of vehicles on which to feast the eyes. Good to meet everyone.
I decided to re-test the satnav on the A6 towards Derby afterwards and concluded that the results were much the same as last time - the valley and the trees greatly hinder the ability of GPS devices to tell you where you are. Worse - they also can't tell you about the scameras very reliably - which is bad news when they tend to be placed at the start of 30 limits on blind bends after a 50 limit with most of the signs covered with tree growth for the summer. Nice, especially in the dark.
I suppose that, for future road charging purposes, they trees will need to be cut down - or perhaps the entire valley filled to allow good 'sight' of the requisite number of satellites. Should be a few good planning meetings for that one then!
Oddly the Satnav suggested a rather indirect route ( I thought) but I decided to follow it anyway to see where it took me and ultimately enjoyed a pleasant enough run along a virtually empty A50 where I discovered that the auto box, under some circumstances, seems to choose a particularly odd point at which to select 5th gear.
When I remember I will try and repeat the circumstances using the 'sport' mode to see if it is significantly different.
Ah, the joys of motoring!
Here's to next time.

5 speed auto and sat-nav?...take some responsibility man!
The auto is just for the challenge of trying to keep it in an appropriate gear!
And the Satnav for entertainment - getting it to take you on unlikely routes of its own planning (I found some on the way to the pub yesterday!! Most interesting except for Derbyshire's creeping blanket 30mph limits) and few one can create oneself by ignoring instructions at certain key points along the way.
Last night was a perfect example of the latter - I ignored its first instruction. It totally missed the option I would have taken on the outskirts of Derby and provided what I assume was a much longer run but with the benefits that it offered, for which I was grateful.
I like to think of both of the devices you mentioned as magical mystery machines. Each to be ignored at the appropriate times.

that was funny!
you were really going for it! I was impressed with the fabby, it's very capable
I was chuckling to myself when I imagined what it must have looked like

I have to ask, did you let anyone drive your 355 on Tuesday? Because here is a quote from "V8 Man" which is "V8 OHV"s name on another forum. http://community.channel4.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/1766037851/m/9330009592 Looks like he googled the perfomance stats.
