Hey, I was at gasoline juice this weekend. What a fantastic place. Near silverstone and well worth the trip in car or motorbike. https://www.instagram.com/gasolinejuice_official/?...
I went down to Gasoline Juice one weekend and it's got so much potential but also ... not much to do.
It looks cool in pics but once you're there, there wasn't much of a reason to stay.
At the original C&M you can sit on the hill and watch cars come in and out, watch TV in the tent, order some food or drinks to your table, look around the shop.
Where as I felt Gasoline Juice was lacking that stuff. Maybe some outdoor seating and heaters would be a solution.

It’ll be interesting to see how this site goes after the lukewarm reception to the Bowl. Its also near the famous loomies motorcycle cafe. https://www.instagram.com/loomiescafe/

Agree. Has lots of potential. Spent a few hours there on a warm day last year, spoke to some great people, saw some interesting vehicles but it needs seating out the front (not at the rear where it currently is), a bar with selection of drinks and better food.It looks cool in pics but once you're there, there wasn't much of a reason to stay.

It is a new venture so hopefully will address this.

Will have to check that out. FezSpider said:
Don't really like the idea of booking fees though.
Digging this up a bit (didn't want to start a new thread). C&M had a hot hatch event this evening. Thought I'd check it out for the first time in ages and the booking fee was £10.95! Crikey. I didn't bother.
Am I being ridiculous or is that an absolutely extortionate price to essentially park in a pub carpark on the off-chance there'll be some interesting cars/people there? Sure, you get a discount on what you order inside but it's a bit rich, isn't it? 11 quid isn't going to break the bank but the principle, for me at least, is all wrong. I could go to a local pub with a lovely beer garden and have a drink and a bowl of chips and still have change!
Any other thoughts?

C&M used to be soooo good. The vibes were incredible, but it's become a very naff venue to go to now, mainly because of the cars and people they attract.C&M had a hot hatch event this evening. I do appreciate that they don't say that one car deserves priority over others, but it really is the M140i and Golf R club now.
They also now have competition, I've never been to The Motorist near Leeds but it looks excellent.
However, as me and my friend were sat eating our bang average pizza, we looked around and noticed all of the M140i and Golf owners are sat there in groups of friends, ordering drinks and food, some of them in their C&M merch, and it made us realise that that's where the money is for Caffeine and Machine, the guy with the rare Ferrari or Mclaren isn't going to go with a large group and sit and spend money on Weatherspoons quality food, so maybe I don't blame them.

I tried visiting Gasoline Juice the other week and felt that was a lot more laid back than C&M. Really interesting spot it's located at too. I'd love to visit other, similar venues too if anyone has any suggestions? The Piston Club near Stratford is the best for me. So many decent pubs do a classic/specialist car night once a month too, for free, usually with an outdoor BBQ as well as their regular pub menu, and the turn out can be huge. We're spoilt for choice around here. And The Great British Car Journey has regular meets too, though they charge a fiver.
