Looking for a recommendation of a Hunter wheel alignment centre near Northants that can align my 5 series.

I've used a few garages in the past but they are hit and miss with how the car feels leaving the garage.

I've just had a set of new rubber fitted but the garage they were fitted at said the alignment was all in the green yet couldn't provide a printout due to a "broken printer" (ran out of time to bother doing the alignment basically).

Willing to travel too but I've already flagged Deutche tech in MK as my "if I have to travel" recommendation.

String Theory did a cracking job on my 130i if you don’t mind a trip to Stratford. Ben knows his onions.

Centre Gravity did a very good job on my M140i too after a poor job by a motorsport ‘specialist’ and a main dealer. Expensive but worth it.

Ah saw this post on Northants Motorsports Facebook page the other night. Car looked very very nice considering its been dormant for so long!

I had always thought the likes of northampton Motorsport to be too pricey and overkill for my needs on a 520d estate commuter. What sort of price am I am looking at with them nowadays?

I had thought string theory garage was next to caffeine and machine but looking online it appears I'm wrong... Then of course it's worth it 😅

String Theory used to be, but they're now in a bigger unit in Stratford and not too far off the M40. A full alignment by them was £240, so not cheap but they do a good job and having had a few rubbish experiences at c.£100 each, I'm happy to pay their prices knowing that it'll be good.

They charged me 3 hrs work @£90.00 per hr + vat from my point it was money well spent as they all of mine is adjustable, it was not just the tracking.

Thanks, i have owned the car since 2000, used it as a daily for 5 years, then took it off the road in 2005 to do the head gasket and some mods. Most of the parts were brought back then.

Life/ house move/ business move/ home workshop build and many other car projects always seamed to come 1st. I finally got the car out of storage and back home just before Covid (March 2020) and got stuck into it.
