Not a myth. They claim that it's unhygienic to have a toilet in a caravan... They're still working on an excuse for why they can't have a toilet trailer that gets emptied by a reputable company.

In the Beds/Herts/Bucks area we have a local BBC DJ called Jonathan Vernon Smith. He has actually walked into G&T camps and interviewed them with questions like "so are you going to pick up your rubbish? What are you going to do with all this human waste?"... The answer is always "oh we'll definitely clear it all up before we leave. Oh the last site? Erm, someone must have come and fly-tipped all that after we left. And the site before that. Oh and the site before that too".

IMO this ‘10% of scum ruin it for the 90% that are good’, well hopefully there are Travellers on PH to whom I have to say:

POLICE YOUR 10% SORT THEM OUT YOURSELVES!!
YOU GET THEM TO CLEAR UP THEIR RUBBISH, AND THEIR st THEY LEFT ON THE KIDDIES SWING, AND YOU GET THEM TO STOP THEIR STEALING AND THEFT AND YOU TELL THEM TO EITHER TIDY UP THEIR ACT OR BE KICKED OUT OF THE R&T COMMUNITY.

UNTIL YOU DO THIS THE REST OF THE UK WILL HAVE NO OPTION THAN TO CONSIDER YOU ARE ALL THE 10% SCUM
