Just took the Chimaera out for a run, and some guy ran into the back of me!!
he was only doing 5mph ( in a car park) and the damage isn;'t cataclysmic but still

thanks. i do have contact details, and the phone no. is genuine ( i checked).

there's paint damage (obviously), the plastic covering the LH rear lights is gone, there's a rack in the body work immediately below that, and another a bit further forward in the 'bumper' section.

The Starkholmes jinx.

Sorry to hear that. Doesn't sound too serious though. Hope it's sortable.

Seems to happen to some people a lot. I assume they must just position themselves for it. Apparently there's a lot of it about these days and it leads to whiplash injury and an increased volume of claims for insurance purposes.

At least that's what I've been told and read in the papers.

Often blamed on women drivers being indecisive when leaving a junction apparently.

Thanks for all the concerns everyone!
It SHOULD be sorted OK. The person that ran into me has admitted liability and his insurancce co. rang me up to confirm it, so my protected no-claims remains fully intact and i should get my XS back as well.
1st recommended repairer they suggested was a local Vauxhall dealer!! who'd never done a TVR before.. worrying....
so i rang them up to whinge and they then said i shouldn't have been given their number in the first place and should have had a fibreglass specialist.
Current plan is for TVR Power's bodyshop to pick it up on Thursday.
Here's hoping it all goes through smoothly.

Do you realise that you're the only one mucky enough to get my intended double entendre?

Not really, saw the opportunity handed down on a plate, resisted the temptation, even came up with a cracker in reference to SM's gender preference too. But basically i'm better than that so didnt bother
