Convoy to Pistonfest

Have we got a time to meet at LFE confirmed yet?

Plan so far is to meet up at LFE with the Yorkshire convoy at around 11am.

Not sure how many are driving down from Yorkshire, they may well want to go down the A1 as it is a fair bit shorter, but I'll drag myself down to LFE for an 11am kick off

Is food for BBQs required or just beer and relying on the food wagons?

I'm taking a bit of grub and some of those disposable bbq's if i can find one.
Got a camping gas cooker somewhere to.

So far, I've found enough room in the car for my toothbrush and a spare shoe!

So don't get all fancy and start showing off with your BBQ's and camping stoves.

Anyone for a satelite dish? Its just not proper camping unless you're making a few sacrifices.

I'll have you know my good man that in the Fish Stockade at last P.Fest we had:
- marquee (well, plasticky gazebo type thingy)
- hard wood dining table and chairs
- BBQ
- Working fridge
- Mobile 'gay disco' courtesy of Flasher

And enough food and beer to sink a battleship

Hiya.

Newbie here. Ive been lurking for a little while and thought it time I joined in.

As it happens I have the whole of the pistonfest weekend free, so I thought jump in at the deep end and go along.

I am keen to join up with the convoy from the Mids, Im coming from Coventry, so if the orginisers could let me know the details for traveling down to Pistonfest, either Friday or Saturday it would be much appreciated.

Looking forward to getting to know you all

We are meeting on the Saturday at Leicester Forest East Services at about 11am, you are welcome to join us. There is a list of people who are meeting a bit ealier in this thread.
Be carefull, PH seems to take up a lot of your worktime!!

Sorry Al Lisa is away on a Hen weekend so she won't be there. Also as I'll be in the atom I will only be bringing myself and no genny chairs etc etc. Although I recon in the Atom I can get 2x chairs tent luggage gazebo etc all I'm struggling with is a table. Maybe I can knock something up...

Hi Marty. if you come up the M69 to Leicester forest you'll be on the wrong side but you can get off at A46 then go around the island and back on. Or we could meet up just after we turn off the motorway on to the A14 which may be easier for you. Let us know, and we can email you a phone number.

Thanks for that.

It will probably be easier if I tag along from the A14. There is a layby just after the M1 junction, but rather than the whole convoy coming in and then having trouble getting back out onto the A14 again, I will join on the back after I see you all pass.

Just got to make a note of the cars in the convoy otherwise I can see me following some random cars around the country.

Can I confirm it is 11am depart from Leicester Forest East Services SOUTH BOUND? as I've jsut arranged the baby sitter so I can make it in the Atom. Well someone has to keep the Caterham in check

Although that said it will have some kit on board as I have now sourced a table and chairs that I think I can fit in the Atom
