Tom,
Join the RAC, Get them to tow it down here, I'll get my hands on the part, and fit it for you.

Thank God for that, thought I would have to work tomorrow.

Tom, join the RAC.

Glad it's fixed, not sure about the strange fixing method used prior to mine and Simon's ownership though......Well, that's about everything apart from the gearbox overhauled, happy days....

Someone get my wedge started before I throw a match in the bstard thing.

hello friends and fellow PHers...minimax is down but not out

car is fixed after a week of buggering about and credit due in no small part to simon and mike with their sterling efforts on my behalf, it's difficult to imagine how upbeat I was on saturday compared to how I felt this morning..all I need is for the car to keep working long enough to get me to a couple of promising interviews next week and about town in between and I should be back on my feet again.

as for RAC cover, the AA, RAC and green flag have me on their black list - cover cancelled after calling them out many more times than I was allowed to over the last 3 years

How about Britannia, they will collect anything.

I reckon a supershed is in order, rather like my alfa, or Simons (ex) white lightning (rest it's soul, it served me well. ) £500 can put you in something hoontastic and gives the S a bit of a reprieve.
Just so happens honest mike and daves quality PX automobile collection (quality motor vehicles for the punter with the lower budget) may just have the shed for you........Let me know if you want a decent shed, we currently have two escorts, and a clio oh yes, and a diesel clio van with simulated bullet holes up the side and ferrari crests on the front wings....don't ask.

Now, don't break it again.

Just fired the wedge up as well....good news all round. Turned out to be a loose wire at the back of the ecu, and yes, it did fire a hoofing great flame out of the arse end.

Its only taken me about two weeks of scraped knuckles to find that sodding wire.

Cheers Tom, have one for me.

Oh Noooooo!

TOM - FORGET WHAT I SAID ABOUT CLUTCHLESS GEAR CHANGING. DO NOT PRACTICE THAT OR ANY SIMILAR TECHNIQUE.

IT WON'T WORK - HONEST. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR USING THE CLUTCH.
