Ah yes

"avoid Kiddy" force prices down, next year I can afford that nice big house on the hill going towards Brum
yes
good idea Kiddy's awful
(it is actually not bad, said the city boy, but some of the outlying places are fantastic...)
I haven't really wandered into Kiddy much but from what I hear it is like a lot of towns, alright in the right places.good idea

Surrounding areas I have to agree are amazing. I live in Bewdley which is five minutes on the other side of Birmingham. I've been here a year and have fallen in love with the place! You should check it out.

Really it depends what kind of area you want to be in. Do you want to be able to walk to shops and pubs or would you prefer to be nicely secluded. Withing a small radius you can go from living in the middle of a decent sized town to living in a very secluded bit of country. I like Bewdley as it is a mix of both. A nice small Georgian town but not too cut off from the world.

Dare I say it?except if it rains in Wales, hard
nah, nice place Bewdley
I live in Rock, a small village about 15 mins from Kidderminster. To be honest Kiddy isn't that nice of a place, there are parts that are ok though. As others have said Bewdly is a lovely little place and well worth considering.
Also as Wacky racer said, you might meet Rob plant I was next to him in the Kidderminster Nat west bank in a que, he was chatting to the cashier where he had been and what he had been doing.

I agree with a lot of the posts here.....
Kiddy is not the nicest of towns, although there are some beautiful surrounding villages including Kinver to the North, Chaddesley Corbett to the East, and Hartlebury to the South.
Bewdley is a beautiful small town with planty of character - but don't buy anything too close to the river as it regularly floods

Yeah, was very impressed with it last winter when we had all that rain. They have some pretty hefty pumping equipment on the other side of the river though which did affect the traffic a little.
It has been a great to place to be recently with the nice weather, the place really comes alive down by the river in the evenings.

im from this area.
Kidderminster - town is a bit of a dive, but surroundings are nice.
Stourport - no
Bewdley - floods and is full of kids fridays and saturdays nights otherwise very pretty.
Droitwich - i grew up there. its alright... standard town, nice surrounding areas
what about hagley? or chadsley corbet? they are nice places.
On the other side you have rock, leominster, far forest.
great witley is nice, abberly is very nice but i imaging house prices are a bit high.
i live in ludlow now. bout 40 mins from kidderminster but very pretty. not very good if your wanting to commute to brum.
have a look for villages around the kiddi area. there are a lot of nice ones.

I used to live in Brum and the thought of living in kiddy didn't appeal, however I now live in a little village right next door to Franche and Wolverley and it was the best thing I ever did moving out of a city. Sold my 3 bed semi in Quinton for a 4 bed detatched with 1/3 acre garden for not much more. The Villages around Kiddy are all fine, just depends on what you've got to spend and where you work. Bar Bewdley, West and South of Kiddy is cheaper as a rule than East of Kiddy. Don't bother looking North too much, as there isn't a great deal and then you hit W'pton.
PM me if you have anything specific to ask as I really am "just down the road" from you search location!
