You're not alone in asking so I have just sent an email via the D&C TVRCC webgroup to chase this up Owen.

How is this being booked? Think we might need to have a planning meeting in the fairly near future?

Presumably we'll all book the ferry via one of us? How will it work with the TVRCC?

If it's 20 or more cars going from Plymouth? Then if we all book together by fax we will get a 10% discount from brittany ferries and that can be booked now if we want? As for the Le Mans end of things? CD's on the case! the more the better!!Party starts 8pm Tuesday 14th 2005!! Waterfront from 6pm Corin?

O.K. here's the score, I have had an email from the RO of TVRCC D&C, it appears that they aren't going now so all plans are down to us which is fine.
The booking form is going to be in December's copy of Sprint (should be here by January!) Once received it needs to be faxed back with your booking ASAP! I understand that you will be invoiced for your ticket roughly a month later.
The first thing is have a get together to iron things out, given all our locations - Bristol, Barnstaple, Exeter, Plymouth the most central point would be just off J27 of the M5, Tyre Smoke knows a pub just off this can double up as a P&P meet (don't worry not another Power & Passion flop, down here P&P means Pie & Pint!)
We need to get the shirts done before next year so if anyone wants to have a play on their PC ad come up with a design, superb! 'Devon & Cornwall TVR Splinter Group Le Mans 2005' would be good.
Mr H. has requested a Wednesday meet so I was thinking about Weds 24 th Nov 7.30-8pm, I am going up to meet Schnozz, Dusty C etc on the 27th so that would work out nicely.
Tyre Smoke has kindly offered to organise the ferry logistics and booking so bring membership numbers, registrations, name of passenger (if applicable) etc. to the meet. If anyone can't make it shout and we'll reschedule.
Serby's been doing his homework and the optimum crossing times will be overnight from Plymouth arriving in France early Wednesday morning and a day crossing back on the following Monday arriving in Plymouth about 8pm. So you will be able to work both Tuesdays, get a good camp spot and get maximum atmosphere over there.

PHEW! I think that's everything, any problems give me a shout.

Corin.

Just because the RO and JT aren't going doesn't mean no one from TVRCC is going ,I am.The ferry plans via Plymouth suit me perfectly,I was on last wednesday night crossing, the swell just rocked me to sleep!I won't be able to make any get together 250mile round trip from down here in the wild west during the week is a non-starter for me.LM campsite choice back to maison blanche for me. Superb Geoff! Do you want us to include you in the above plans, quite happy to add your details to the list and take some the hassle out of attending for you?

Can't make any night that week. I'm on a work training course in Daventry all that week.

However, if the ferry details can be finalised later, I'll go along with whatever is discussed that night. Just don't want to end up getting fleeced for everyone's ferry tickets!

We could make it the week before if that's easier Rich, can't do next week as dad's in for his triple bypass on Tuesday.

It's the Waterloo Cross.

Take the road up past the Little Chef off J27 and you can't miss it - about half a mile up on the right just before the mini roundabout.

so Tyresmoke/Denton/Serby/ObiWon/Duncan and Geoff? Is this the start of LeMans 2005's "DIRTY HALF-DOZEN?"

Not sure if Duncan's going to be up for it but Mr H is coming as long as it doesn't interfere with next year's TVR challenge following the arrival of the new Griffith race car!
