Just noticed this thread. I think I might pop along to this pub, since it's in my neck of the woods. Trouble is I'm working tomorrow and will not have time to clean the car for a Sunday bimble. Never mind I'll take it a bit dirty.

Oh nooo!

That pub is literally 10 minutes away from my house! ( I live just outside Wellington)It was where I had my first ever job!

Oh balls! How gutting. If I'd have ventured into this forum a little sooner I could've planned myself into it.
Oh Next time. I can't BELIEVE I missed this! Bugger it.

That's REALLY annoyed me. Uni is hacking me off on day 7, everyone is too preoccupied with exams

Never mind, eh!? Have a fab time guys and girls(?!)

Well as one or two know, was planning to meet a few people in Exeter in the morning as near by and then go to the meet, but after a visit to peninsular....cam shaft, belt and something nasty around gearbox area means car is in bits there. Deep depression as only had it three weeks. Hope to meet you all again in near future (after I've sold the tv, dog and toaster to pay the bill). P.S. Not much fun hitching home leaving your car in a garage.

I live between Taunton and Wellington, might go for a little drive past but the TVR 306 (ahem, Peugeot ) is a little muddy at the moment

23 cars not counting those that turned up in their everyday hacks!

Well, what can I say other than a massive thank you to everyone who made the effort to come to the meet today, we totally took over the old Waterloo Cross today and didn't it look good!

I love meets like these because you get to see so many other types of cars turning up, people quizzing each other over different marques, it's great. I never realised there were that many TVRs here in the South West for a start!

I hope you all had a good day, the food was really good!

This is the start of something good, I'll keep plugging away at this keyboard and get some more events sorted for the region, actually I quite enjoy it!

So for those who couldn't make it (and those that could!) here are some snaps. (Sorry, I took them before the sun blazed down folks!)

One of the entrants from the SW Tiger Owners Club!

Dazren's beautiful 450bhp 996 Turbo

My favourite of the day, Splodge's lovely Esprit

The new Peninsula Tuscan S series 2 demonstrator.

BBW comes to the South West!

You've been Tango'd!

Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding for.. The Audi Quattro!

Ever wondered what 182bhp at the wheels looks like in a FWD Pug?..... Your quest is over!

Obi made it with only one mirror folks!

Room for a small one?!!

..and finally my old trusty steed the AVO Mex!

Cracking day mate! Fantastic pics, you managed to get my car in quite a few - not to mention Tyre Smoke Jnr's trusty steed (and his mum!). The food and atmosphere was fantastic - you are right, so many Tiv's I never knew existed!

The only down side was some chav in a baseball hat turning up in his laxxed Escort!

All joking aside, you did a marvelous job of organising the meet, there's many could learn from it.

Well done mate I thouroughly enjoyed it.

Next one is when?

When's the next one?

...well why not we keep it fresh and do it bi-monthly?

That way it's not to much of a commitment and it's something to look forward to.

How about having the next meet in March? A karting do? We could all organise a 'Grand Prix' event at Raceworld in Exeter? (although I think the Tiger boys might give us a slaying?!!) but it would be a great chance to prove your driving skills on an equal basis!

We could set up a BBQ outside etc..

What do you think?

Thanks again Corin, and nice to put some faces to names. Looking forward to the Le Mans trip, but how I go about fitting in the tent and beer after stocking up with curling tongs and scissors remains to be seen!!

Karting sounds like a winner - could I recomend the outdoor grand prix at Castle Combe on Saturdays, its superb..

..anyway must go and wash the bugs from my perm
