Nice to meet you Owen, and the lovely Ellie - hope you didn't take the hairdresser jokes too seriously!

Can you fit me in for highlights a week next Thursday?

Good venue, must get round to saying hello to more people next time.

I'm a bit worried by some more "modern" Tiv drivers: any excuses for the roof up ?

Cheers Corin, great day out even with the mega hangover. A long drive there and back, but hey, that's what it's about.

See you all next time.

Grouch.

Cheers corin. Its always a good day out when you're surrounded by nice machinery. Shame about the rusty mexico that spoilt the line up

By the time I'd had lunch a lot of cars had already disappeared so I didnt have a chance to have a good look at em all Good excuse to do it all again though!

You're on mate, it'll be a pleasure trying to hang on to yours and DAZ's tail (though worth it to hear those stainless pipes of yours ).....

Chris, Richard's entitled to his point of view. Rumour on the street is that not all share Richards point of view though

Oh, you havent seen the half of it unfortunately.

I for one am bloody sick of it. A week cant go by on here without some in-fighting between members of the D&C TVRCC and PH. My 5 year old nephew is more adult. I dont know what/who started it and quite frankly I couldnt give a toss, but I do know its been going on for far too long. I've been reading this crap for 2 years at least.

We could have some really great meets in the South West with loads of cars if the two factions could just shut up bickering for 5 minutes. Its the usual scenario of only 3 or 4 people who are spoiling it for everyone else.

I'm sure I dont see this crap happening in any of the other regions or between anyone else on PH. Although I'm no longer a member of the TVRCC I've met some very nice memebers in the region. Equally I've met some great people from PH. Imagine what we could do if the hatchet could be burried and we pooled our collective resources?

What is this? Pick on Richard?

It wasn't just me that praised Corin, you only have to read the whole of this thread. If there were any attendees that didn't think it was a great meet, then it never got back to me. Both of you were invited along with the rest of the TVRCC, you deigned not to come, so your information on the quality of the meet is at best, second hand. If you had attended, you would have been more than welcome, bygones would have been bygones, but you seem to have some sort of self destruct mechanism built into your conceited self importance - you won't bury the hatchet will you?

Why oh why can't you just live and let live, take yourselves less seriously and have a laugh? If any of the D+C TVRCC have a problem with me, then at least have balls to Email me directly, or even phone me, my details are on my profile. Don't hide behind snide remarks which do the image of the club no good at all. If I had no interest in the TVRCC do you think I would have volunteered my time to collate RO reports and generally assist Derek Smith with Sprint magazine?

It has been said before, and will no doubt be said by others in the future, but you do the region no favours whatsoever with your constant sniping. There were a lot of TVR's at this meet that I've never seen before, what does that tell you? There were a lot that I have seen before that were invited, but failed to show. What does that tell you?

You will not have to worry about me attending meets this year, I was clearly not welcome at the three I attended in 2004. In fact the only person who 'gave me the time of day' was Dave Earp. You are all welcome to continue your 'coven' in 2005 without my input.

I am extremely dissapointed and quite frankly upset by the whole thing. I think twice before I post on anything you have posted on, because you seem to think I'm fair game for a cyber kicking. I comfort myself in the safe knowledge that you or your assinine comments are not important to me anymore.

Come on guys! There are quite a few regular PHers who read the South West forum and undoubtedly pick up on these bad vibes. Is this really giving the impression we want to give?

Much as I like PH and reading the varied and interesting threads that crop up, it is an inherrent problem with forums that the words of individuals can be misread and taken out of context. As so much of our communication in one-to-one conversation is through body language and tone of voice, it is all too easy to interpret things incorrectly when that is not present.

It is clear that there are some differences of opinion on here and quite possibly a clash of personalities, but please don't let it spill out into what is such a 'public' forum. As jamiet said, this has indeed been going on for quite some time and it really is getting exceedingly tiresome.

There is no 'us and them', no war between PHers and D&C. The very fact we are all here demonstrates a common interest, so can we not all get along and enjoy that interest without these clashes. Please!

Don't worry - we ignore it - can't quite figure out what you're all banging on about anyway because we're all off our face on rough cider...

Being a single marque club it is kind of TVR-centric. Thats not to say they dont make non-TVR owners very welcome. Like I think it says on their website you just have to appreciate TVR's to be a member, you dont have to own one. I was a member for two years before I got one. I must admit though that I prefer meets/clubs/events where theres a bit more variety in the machinery.
