Alternatively the Alma Tavern / Spice Brasserie, both on Alma Vale Road?

Good choice Pete. That's Alma Vale Road in Clifton to those not familiar with Bristol.

Count me in - that used to be a very regular haunt when I played cricket for Clifton a few years ago. Haven't been back for years.

Cool. Parking shouldn't be too bad and there's always the fall-back of the Clifton Down (Sainsbury's) car park if a problem.

This place used to be my local - is the curry house at the site of the former "Bellapais" Greek restaurant and world's-saltiest-kebab house?

Anyway, fine by me.

Certainly is! Aspects of said Greek place can still be made out in the internal decor!

(Wanna lift, Adrian?)

I've got to do the child ferry thing again (which is another good reason to switch to Thursdays)

I was going to bring the TR6 if you fancy being frozen/deafened/shaken to bits.

Adrian, in case you don't get my email but do manage to peek on here, I'll probably drive myself after all this evening. Thanks for the offer of a lift, though.

I'm driving tonight if anyone wants to drink and needs dropping off afterwards.

Good news is that as of 10 minutes ago, the exit barrier of the Clifton Down (Sainsburys) car park is out of action (has been for the last couple of weeks), so if parking is tight on Alma Vale road, there's another free option!
