Also, is anyone else going along to the protest on Saturday?

Current intention is to go along in the sensible car. Wouldn't want to give the impression of a load of speed freaks throwing their toys out of the pram.

DAZ

I'm taking the debadged estate car.

It looks like I'm having my own protest up the M5 in the landy, there's a show on at Gaydon.

Cheers - is about 7:15 ok? Don't think I can realistically get away any earlier...

The weather forecast now says things brightening up later tomorrow PM, so hopefully will be a roof-down type drive!

The more the merrier. It's usually a monthly meet, and we can probably find someone to put you up if needs be.

Thanks Bill. I'm very very skint this month (bought a new bike) but I will do my very best to join you good chaps next month.

Don't worry, I haven't crashed it again! Here's a photo to prove it - www.davidhambly.co.uk/banditbeach.jpg

I took it for one last blat down to the coast and then p/x'ed it, for:

Appalling photo (taken on my 'phone) but it's a '99 ZX7-R. 28k miles, full MOT and Tax, new tyres and full race exhaust system (read: Loud). It scares me to death if i'm honest!

Good. Nothing wrong with a healthy dose of respect

(I bet it won't be long before you're thinking of another upgrade)

Respect? You betcha! I haven't yet opened her up properly in the first 3 gears - it's just got so much power. I did get up to some decent speed in 6th - I dont have a figure as fixing the speedo is on the 'to do' list, but I got to the point where my brain couldn't process everything at the speed I was going - 120mph on the Bandit felt serene by comparison. I slowed down at this point. The funny thing was that it was still pulling so hard that I tried to change up a gear, but found I was already in top!!
