Season opener this weekend, full entries and a good mix of cars (including a well used Civic on debut).. worth a trip if you're at a loose end.

There will also be a fiesta making its way up the hill cautiously on the Saturday.

I shall be making my debut along with my old man sharing the car.

It will indeed, weather doesn't look brilliant for tomorrow bit of drizzle all day.

No we have a fiesta St completely standard at the moment.

Should be a fun day.

The paddock and parking field for spectators is going to be quagmire.

Think I'll give it a miss.

Current met office forecast shows that it should stop raining by mid afternoon, and then nothing too significant over the weekend. Fingers crossed.

Last time I went it was heavy, heavy underfoot. I ended up towing all sorts out of the car park. Should have charged a tenner a time!

Paddock and spectator areas weren't too bad today, should be fine tomorrow I would have thought. Track conditions were tricky!

I enjoyed my day yesterday. Conditions weren't as bad as I was expecting with the amount of rain we have had. As said paddock and spectator areas were very good I thought.

I was happy with my times as well, I think. Improving with each run and by the end of the day knocking off 4 of 5 seconds from my first run, getting down to 54.2'ish' in my first race.

All in all a good day.

Glad that you enjoyed it, and a very respectable time given the conditions and lack of hill experrience. I wouldn't have fancied that as my first ever event. I came to see you a couple of times, but you must have been off watching.

Thank you, what can I say get thrown in at the deep end and see how you come out.

Me and dad were wandering around quite a bit getting to know how events are laid out and seeing other people's lines up the hill. The more we do the more confident we shall get.

Have to say though everyone we spoke to were very helpful and didn't seem bothered by the 'newbie questions'.

Wiscombe again this weekend, and no weather issues this time round.
