Fourth Sunday of each month the Horton Historic Vehicle Club meet at the Cross Hands at Old Sodbury traffic lights from around 08:30. The hotel puts on breakfast rolls, tea and coffee.

The meeting lasts for around two hours or so, no charge. It's a very friendly social event and today we had cars from as far afield as Swindon and Oxford.

Today there were around one hundred cars in attendance. A real mix for the all periods. There are photos on the HHVC Facebook page.

Old school at the meet at Old Sodbury today.

I put those there about 15 years ago, and this is my first spot biglaughbeer

Its a chilled meet, kind of like the old Queen Sq meets where you turn up & see what arrives. Its not to busy, no silly buggers and you don't pay to park, win win.

Saw a nice black Ferrari 458 in Falmouth this morning.

A 9 year old car that still looks fantastic.

Mate of mine lives near Barnstaple but his gT40 is dark silver.

That part of Devon has many special cars hidden away in it!

Driver of the year award to the absolute throbber in A burgundy Yaris GR with the sad Nurburgring sticker on the back on the A30 today.

Decided to overtake all the cars indicating to come of onto the slip road at the last minute and cut in crossing the white lines causing all of them to brake.

Well done.

Off to Newquay in a cloud of berry burst vape smoke? hehe

(I'm pretty sure I saw that car earlier, can't be too many burgundy GRs around)

I’ve felt for some time that it’s a bit like “with great power comes great responsibility”. If you drive a nice car you will stand out, so don’t be a dick!

Indeed, I was in a Golf R , think he may have done it for show as I was in the insides lane, he went past me in the outside lane, then cut across both lanes into the slip road cutting up the cars in front of me exiting onto the slip road

Hopefully he won't have a license for much longer

there's not that many GR's about and this is the only burgundy one I've seen.

So most likely, give him tthe finger from me if you see him again. smile

That’s a dick move. R is a nice tool, and would have thought a GR would have to be breathed on to keep up. Do sometimes feel like people try to compete. I don’t get it. Surely we can all admire nice cars out there without it becoming a Willy waving contest?

Rare spot when I took the Clio for a blast in the spring sunshine earlier. Gold NSX heading down what was the old A30 into Chacewater. Looked very nice indeed.

Rare beast indeed. Glad it gets used.
