Hi All,

Its been a while since I visited the Pistonheads page, a new car ( Audi R8 v8 ) and sunny weather has prompted me to come back , are there any meets in Devon or Cornwall coming up?

Hi Val

If I recall correctly you were running Silver 350z, with a few choice mods for a while.

Bernie has been organising a few fun run outs this year. Keep your eyes pealed.

BURNIE you should join up & when I post an event you can round up the PH guys to join us, you'd be welcome.

But, we are at the end of the season, just the odd Haynes meet to attend now before picks up again in March

Facebook just doesn't do it for me Giles. Shame as I miss most of the meets. Much prefer it when it was all done on here.

Folks, many of you will have visited us at the Supercar Saturday event at Castle Combe in support of the Stroke Association in the past. This only happens once a year, always on the Saturday the clocks change - so the last full day of daylight. This year that's next Saturday, the 26th October and everyone is invited! We have:

  • More than 55 cars on track which you can bag a 5-lap passenger ride in for a modest donation, from £30 in a race Hot Hatch up to £60 for the exotic stuff
  • A novice Autosolo run by Bristol Motor Club - drive your own car against the clock on a paddock course, tuition plus 3 timed runs £30ish
Here are the cars:

Lotus Elise K20
Honda Civic race
Corsa race 200BHP

100% of what you donate goes straight to the Stroke Association www.stroke.org.uk on the day.

Admission at the gate is £5 per person (which means we have security on site). Gates open for viewing and ride bookings from 08.45, drivers warm up on track from 09.00 and track rides start at 09.30. We will run until 17.00.

Cafe and catering open all day. Free access to the Strawford hospitality centre top floor for track viewing in the warm and dry.

Have a great day of motorsport before winter takes over and support the important work this charity does.

Hello Giles

Could you do me (and the Stoke Association) a big favour please and repost this on the Facebook group? I've got my hands full organising the event and am relying on the goodwill of others to promote it.

Thanks for your help chap.
