Thinking of taking my other half away for the bank holiday weekend as it co-incides with our wedding anniversary and fancy a bit of surfing in Croyde. Having never been there before, can anyone recomend a nice modern hotel. I dont just want somewhere to rest our heads as I would like it be nice bearing in mind our WA.

cheers

The words good, modern, hotel and Croyde don't really go together.

Not being a lot of help here am I?

How far from Croyde do you want to stay?

Surfboards and a Z4? Hmmmmm.....

Not anymore, this used to be one of the best events in the South West, it's now just infested with chavs and scrotes!

Not a good place to take your Doris!

Good choice of words there Corin. "Infested" is just about right! Prepare for a weekend of broken down Vee Dubs strewn along the hard shoulder of the M5 and A30!

Exactly, not even enough energy to push start the van when they wake up at 2pm.

Every hotel anywhere near Croyde will have been booked up yonks ago.

The campsite at Lobb is good though

Also the pesky scameras are always out in force on overtime tastic & a good enough reason to boycott the place on a bank holiday in my book.

Have some simpathy for me.
This is the first time in years where I have not organised to get out of the county on RTTS weekend.

IIRC the V-bugs are normally outnumbered 2-1 by Clio's, Saxo's and the like now.
