I live just north of Bristol, my parents live on the Lizard. Since getting married... I see my parents less as it is harder work mobilising the whole family, and it is hard getting my Dad passed Falmouth when his boat is in the water...

One of the options is to link up halfway for a day. Somewhere on the Devon Cornwall border ish is about half way for food and a walk.

The constraints.
Parking
Somewhere for food
Toddler friendly ( 2.2 very good walker, but you know who is on carrying duty)
Dog friendly (retriever puppy)

Lydford Gorge looks stunning, but also expensive for a three mile walk!

Any recommendations appreciated.

Siblyback Lake?

It's Bodmin, so not quite the border but not too far in from Devon. Parking, café, kids play area, nice views and dog friendly. It's about a 3 mile walk around the lake but the paths are pushchair friendly.
