NICKED FROM GENERAL GASSING:

Damn:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wiltshire/4721081.stm

What the "local" residents want is the circuit closed. Or should I say, there are rumours of ONE high placed individual who moved in nearby who wants the circuit closed down....

Christ - what is this country coming too...?

The 'High placed individual' should have done his bloody research before moving in then...

That is dreadful news. Some people need something to worry about, bloody interfering bastards.

This might be a naive suggestion, but if they extended the grass banking so it surrounded the whole circuit and made it a bit higher, would it make a difference to the noise levels outside the circuit?

Its a mad world isnt it? its always been a track, an air field before then & people must know that before they move there, similar to the people that moaned about Filton airfield proposals for cargo transport, bloody concorde was built there, planes took off from there to defend our country in WW2 & they moan it would be to noisey! aaAAHH!!

im not happy, why do some people go about ruining what others enjoy, i bet the people complaining about it also have a hobby(well you never know) and say that was football, how would they feel if people complained about the flood lights on too much or the crowd being noisy. Thing is the circuit is over 50 years old so anyone moving nerby shouldnt be complaining, they should be the ones to get out!!

The really fked up thing about this is that no one actually local can afford to live in Castle Combe, the people complaining are probably Londoners at their weekend pad.

Hummm maybe EVERY car lover should make a point of driving trough the vilage on the way to and from the circuit (in convy ish)..

This sucks of the city dwellers coming to the country, and telling us how to run it...

Have met a few whos kids think milk comes from teco's (I know its a joke but when you actualy meet one )

also most of them don't close gates, walk through the middle of crops (cos thats where the ARROW tels them the footath goes to the next style)..

Sorry don't have much time for them....

mmm I bet the high profile plonker who thought about this is a property developer and wants to build on the race circuit, or has friends who want to.
