There are free Cars & Coffee meets at Churchill & Thomas car storage in Sparkford that have been well attended over the past few months. There seems to be a nice range of old, new and modified cars most months.
This is tomorrow (if i'm right in thinking it's the same site as Piper trimmers) i'll be there in my M3 CSL & my brother in a red Cayman S.sj257257 said:
Tre Pol Pen meet from 9 on Saturday morning if anyone fancies it. Just south of Launceston on the Callington road. Was a good mix of cars there last month. I was particularly impressed with the guy who decided his TVR was too tame so slapped a sizeable turbo on it.
It's now in my diary, so I'll try to remember to call in this time.sj257257 said:

It was really busy this morning, wasn't it? I grabbed the space nearest to the burger van as I was desperate for a hot drink, but I saw your Jag up one level.Great variety of cars there, but it was only just above freezing so I was away around 10. By that time there were no proper parking spaces left.

Sorry I missed you. I guessed that was your car by the van. I was away just after you as we were going on up to Exeter. I like the meet. Big variety of cars and people. Went to Project Auto on Sun just gone, first visit there and lovely day for it.
To be honest it was a bit of a disappointment, they have a great idea - think of it as a much smaller more rural Ace Cafe idea - however it’s too small. There just wasn’t enough to look at, the drift/stance brigade arrived in a variety of cars there was an old Landy with a V8, 2 Mustangs, a MASSIVE American car, 2 R8’s and a Focus RS.
So in terms of it being a ‘brunch meet’ advertised from 11-2pm I think you would struggle to kill more than an hour really.
It cost £5 to park up.
The food and drink was really expensive and when I say food you only had a choice of a Sunday Roast wrap which was basically a giant Yorkshire pudding with meat, veg, gravy in it rolled up. It was nice but also cost £7.50!!! I just wanted a bacon roll or something. Coffee was on a par with Costa (for price not quality) and I asked for a GF roll and was told to they had vegan ones which were ‘exactly the same’.
So I won’t be rushing back to be honest, they are trying but don’t feel it needs a £5 ticket, drinks could be cheaper and more selection of food.
Hoping to do one of the next two QS meets and also another Haynes which is always good.
