Farrington Farm shop (Farrington Gurney) had a car meet this morning was really well attended and amazingly...free !!

Think, given the turnout this may end up being a regular thing now
Few of my friends attended in Mustangs, not seen any pics yet

Wrong side of bristol for me but a decent drive out.. who/how is it organised? Will keep a look out.

There’s an evening meet at Redhill I posted about last year, looking forward to those again in the spring.
It's organised by these guys https://www.facebook.com/groups/731678410542224

Hope it continues as it's only a 10 min drive away for me.

I saw that advertised. Looks quite a good mix of cars. Don't they also have a meet out Cheddar way too, or is that someone else ? I'm definately going to make an effort to get to some meets this year. Last ones I did were when the Queen Square meet was in Queen Square laugh

Down in Cornwall there’s a Friday evening meet on 19th at Hilltop Farm Shop near Camelford. There’s also a cars and coffee at Retro Modern and Classic near Callington on Saturday. They want to know of attendees for that with limited parking for around 50.

Is there any interest in an early evening mid week cars and coffee type meet? Taking to a few folk about trying to sort something.

Depends where you are. I went to Redhill classic meet last Thursday which was good. It's on every month, up by Bristol Airport.
There's also a weekly one at Chew Valley (animal Park iirc) that does another one at Cheddar at the weekend.

I'd be interested but I'd agree that the location is the deciding factor, I wouldn't be able to travel as far on an evening as I would at the weekend.

Would also need to avoid it being on the same evening as some of the other established events, such as the one at Udder Farm Shop. (Which is far too busy and hectic to be enjoyable)

Sorry folks, I forgot this was a SW area. I’m down in Cornwall. Looking at somewhere in the mid to east Cornwall area to suit people based in Cornwall or west Devon. Looking at this as a sort of midi infil for the weekend meets while we have the light evenings.

I'm with you there. Louis tearooms hosts bike meets monthly Sundays but I don't know if they'd be okay with an evening meet. Worth asking?
Good value food & drink, nice farm shop and one of the best views down the Tamar valley you'll ever see.

I attended a few when they were held at the Virginia Ash along the road from the farm shop, they were also hectic and far too busy even though you had to book in to attend

Carfeine CFWK at St ives brewery in Hayle (behind M&S) is something I have seen but not been to. Forgotten until just now.

It's on today at 1100 so I'll probably head over to see.

Bummer. I forgot about that. Great weather for it and I was down at North Cliff earlier. Could have popped down easily.

There is no more meets at the Udder farm shop! the first one was the one and only and it has now moved to the George Albert Hotel & Spa near Cerne Abbas

Apparently the meet was arranged with the farm shop manager and not the owner, owner took a dislike to how many cars turned up ( it was over subscribed as usual)

Everything I have heard about that meet at the Udder Farm Shop indicates it was total chaos.

The footage from the new meet at the hotel on the A37 indicates exactly the same behaviour took place there as well, really off-putting and reminds me of what it used to be like working in knightsbridge...

Morning all. If you're in this topic, you may have already seen my event in the South West forum, but for those that haven't - we run a small petrolhead gathering at a beautiful country house in Dorset.

Link here to those whom fancy a nose' about.

I planned to go, but my wifes train was late frown How busy was it ? It slightly put me off attending again after last month where everyone was getting blocked in by late arrivals.
