Oops - touched a nerve? No offence Gezz, but was I right about the location of K2, then?

Aren't we all a bit old to go to Kickers, or whatever it is K2 used to be called?

Although planning on drinking, I'm not going clubbing after the curry. It's a "school night". Not really sure going to a club early in the evening makes sense.

If we want to go to Bombay Dream in Alma Vale Road (Clifton), suggest meeting either at The Alma Tavern pub a few doors away or at Henry Afrikas Hothouse bar on Whiteladies Road opposite the Texaco.

If we want to go to Raj Bari (Hotwells), suggest The Pump House on the Hotwells one way system near the smaller swing bridge.

Or one of the curry houses that Chris suggested earlier.

(Yes it was me that used my mod stick to change the title. )

I'd be up for an Alma/Bombay Dream attack - BD looks nice when you peer in the window so I'd like to try it!

Aha! Just walked past - seems I was right...

{edited to add:} It looks a lot smarter from the outside than Kickers ever did, so that's a good thing, anyway!

Unfortunately I'm o/s with torn ankle ligaments. Confined to the house in a plaster cast until further notice, with just some highly entertaining painkillers and anti-inflammatories to keep me amused...

Hope the docs haven't told you to rest at home watching Trisha!

Will it be fixed in time for the arrival of the 1400?

Oh, if when you're hobbling about, you want a lift out for a PH curry, give me a shout.

Out walking the dogs early on Saturday. Stuck my foot in a hole and went down awkwardly. Decided it was just a twisted ankle so ignored it for the weekend, despite the swelling, the rather sharp pain and the increasingly black hue of the surrounding area. Determined not to miss the rugby test on Saturday or Bath/Saracens on Sunday. Couldn't get out of my seat following the match and got carted off by St John's Ambulance. No sympathy at all from the nursing staff and, to top it all off, my car got wheel clamped.

Not having a good run right now...

ok, last call. i am going off for a few beers with the motor club in about 2 hours and i want to be able to say how many of us there will be. so far it is 9 (including me) as per the list at the end of the 1st page. it should be possible to add people to a table later, but we ofcourse cant be sure.
the place should probably be booked tonight or early tomoro morning after we decide where we want to go. i personally like the sound of the the bombay dream on alma vale road so it may well be that.

so... any more for curry before i put the numbers in?

I'm still on for this, barring unforseen bank account emptyage. Some plonker has booked me on a client site in London the day after, so if anyone wants a lift i shall be sans drink.

They're students, hence it'll not be organised until 10 minutes before.

Yikes. Get well soon mate. Typically, our resident physio is living it up in a desert somewhere...

Looks as though they have got out of Libya alive, as they have updated the website.

MAM - ouch! Not too good.. I'm sure the students could organise a whleebarrow or shopping trolley to help get you around..

As for the planned festivities, whilst I agree that its a school night, assuming I'm in this part of the world when it starts, (and not somewhere else and only able to put in a guest appearance at the last minute), I quite fancy the idea of a couple of civilised pints, curry then a couple of drinks in the club. I doubt I'll be out beyond midnight, but I've heard good things about the place so wouldn't say no to trying..

That said, we could always arrange to end up there after the Christmas Beer and Stumble..
