2006 New Year Mendip Blat?
Discussion
Don't know if those going out on the 12th want to take a look at this.

It may be a lotus only thing, but if not may be interesting.

The problem with the Lotus meet is that (I'm guessing here) it'll be a meet rather than a 'PH' style blat.
We need early morningness, and clear roads for what I would imagine will be our driving style.
I certainly wouldn't want to be dodging a bunch of Loti who are taking it easy because they don't want to push the limits in the greasy conditions.
If everyone is veering towards the Loti meet, then I'll give it a miss.
I was thinking, however, I might verture Wales-ward and have a hoon about the Beacons and nothern areas from there...it'd suit Alex I know that.

I'm easy, but wales sounds good. Forest of Dean is best avoided at the moment as the'yre a bit eager with the zapping devices.

Alex, can you email me your number so's I can give you a call to arrange what we want to do? I don't want to leave Sam out, but then again, I do like Wales
Ah so this is where you lot all hang out.
I guess I will meet with samwilliams, agent006 and SPR117T tomorrow on the Mini Cheddar Run. I will be interested to hear about the 19th as well - if all are welcome.
As for your comments neil_cardiff - you are probably right - by the time I have got my driving gloves and flat cap on, my pipe lit and safely stowed my check slippers under the passenger seat I will be ready to hold you up and get in your way! After all we Lotus drivers are all the same - 'not your driving style' - right
That said I would like to think we are a friendly bunch, all are welcome on the run tomorrow.

My apologies for coming across incorrectly, I am entirely at fault - I assumed that it was a 'stand about chatting about the latest suspension mount replacement' type meet, which can happen sometimes. When I reread your thread, I realised that it was a bunch of elises and you were getting up early to do some serious driving.
I realised I was a big silly, and obviously mentioned this above - you guys will give me some serious chasing to do - which is what I look forward to with the usual SW PH blats.
I've been on one or two other 'manufacturer specific' runs, and they were a bit tame - which is why I've been looking forward to a SW PH early morning blat as it is a chance to REALLY give my Golf a workout without feeling like a solitary hooligan!!!
Chasing a Noble, a bunch of Elise(Eli?) and me and Alex sparring at the back (hopefully you've fixed your brakes Alex!!!) will be a real fun morning!!!!!!!
Sorry and Cheers
Neil
We managed to pull 7 Elises togther for the run yesterday - where were you lot?? It was a bit wet though - foggy as hell up on the top.
If you are planning a run on the 19th can you post up details here as I may be able to make it (if thats ok??)
Based on a few near misses yesterday my tips are:
1. Watch out for the sheep
2. Ditto the rocks that fall off the cliffs in response to sports exhausts
3. If you head back down Burrington Combe slow for the first LH bend (some numpty in an estate had driven up the cliff on the otherside of the road and was being accompanied by a BIB, presumably waiting for recovery).
Cheers.
