OK Party people, the 5 day forecast from the BBC says light rain for sunday, its never reliable though. Infact once when they forecast sunshine all day i drove my shiny polished Lotus in to work, half hour later it poured down so i emailed Richard Angwin asking how he could be so wrong & now because of his mistake i want you clean my car, get your bucket out Angwin & i'll see you in the studio carpark. He didnt reply. But my point was the weather could be wrong.

We need a meeting point, last year we met at that garden centre on the A38 just past Brean, or shall we say one of the many car parks actually in Cheddar gorge it self?

The idea of meeting early to catch the clear roads is cool but if its pissisting it down its not so good... aah where have those cold frosty mornings gone...

In theory I'm up for it as I commited myself a while back.

However, her indoors is bending my ear that we need to do something as we've not done anything remotely valentiney. Getting her up early for a rough Sunday morning drive will NOT go down well (is there anything new there).

So I'll either be there and in the doghouse, or not at all and getting it

Why meet so far away from Bristol. If it were Cheddar then the best part of the day would be getting there to meet up, as there are good roads and its early. One of the best places in my humble opinion would be at the picnic area Chew Valley lake. From there, is an excellent run out to cheddar, could pick up a few more at Churchill then onto cheddar. However if it was pissing down I would'nt be so keen.

Has anyone organised a route for this, or does one need to be sorted out?

Sounds like Paul has just started. So where abouts is the picnic area of the lake?

OK. What about meet in the high street "Chew Magna" at say 08.00, there will be nobody there then. I know a superb route to churchill past the lakes, etc(just one long road mostly so can't get lost) Meet others maybe Churchill @ say 09.00 then onto cheddar (breakfast in the area)
Then after that whatever you like.
I need to be back at Bristol aprox 11-12 ish.

Alernative meet on A37 (Wells Road) in the large laybuy just before Pensford (Bottom of hursley hill)

I've had a bit of a change of plans now (again, only this time for the better!) and hopefully will be able to make it on Sunday now. So, see you all at 8 (if it's not raining).

Nice run gents, despite the weather. I'm sure some numpties learnt today, that overtaking can still be done without being shot at by government laser satellites.

Great to be able to turn up at an event and everyone shows up on time.

Look forward to the next Hoon.

Sam, driving that car you must be bloody mad!

Had a great time today, it was a crying shame about the intense fog over the top of the Mendips and Cheddar - they would have been some cracking roads had we had a clear run at them

I especially enjoyed terrorising Paul and Daz, that Noble sounds absolutely raw, and had it had a dry road, I thing perhaps would have shown me a cleaner set of heels.

Even still I kept up, and gave Del a show of wagging my tail in some of the corners, just to keep him awake - I certainly was after nearly hitting the 4x4 that didn't indicate left as I was overtaking!!!

Was great to see everyone, and I think there is a Welsh invasion brewing, Daz has never been, Del knows the way, and I'm desperate to get back over there - how about it guys?

Anyway heres a piccy from today; and Sam? - you mentalist!!!

Certainly was good fun this morning. I think it's probably the first time I've had a proper run in my car since I got it, and I have to admit that I was quite pleased with the way I kept up (having said that, that was probably helped by the fact that Daz and Paul were too far away for me to be able to see them disappearing into the distance!).

Anyway, looking forward to next time. Hopefully see some of you on Tuesday.

I'll add my thanks to everyone for a great run, as Daz said, it's enjoyable to be on the roads with a group of people who actually have driving ability and spatial awareness, instead of the usual numtpies we're subjected to on a daily basis.

Bring on Wales!!

I have been keeping my eye on these and am hoping to come along on one, as soon as my car has a gearbox in it. Looks like fun .

See you all soon hopefully.
