The camera van in a layby just after the Ivybridge onslip (exeter bound) today. never seen it there before and it was hiding infront of a lorry...again! sneaky gits!!!

there was also one at the bottom of the long straight hill (plymouth bound) before you get to marsh mills junction - i waved at him as a joke!hope we dont get fined for smiling! lol

driving to manchester at the weekend, anyone know of any known cop-spots/cameras to watch out for?
they did have cameras around cullumpton in the road works but dont know if they're still there or not.
cheers fellow pistonheaders!

very nearly had my collar felt by this boy yesterday

Was on my way back down to Exeter from Bristol at a steady 85 leptons when it came steaming up behind. You know when you just 'know' something is up. As it came closer i could see gubbins on the dash and extra rearviews. i had that feeling of dread and said oh well had to happen at somepoint.

He followed me for about 30 seconds up close as i coasted down to a more friendly speed. And then he just booted it away. Further on ahead saw a guy in a new civic Type-R pulled over in the hard shoulder getting what looked like a firm talking to!

happy that i live to fight another day unscathed!

Actually on closer inspection i think it was a darker colour than silver, more of a grey-blue and i think a 57 plate.

does anyone find that they end any long journey thse days and just think, well I wonder if I got done then?

I generally drive on motorways on or very close to the speed limit but invariably you drift over with traffic flow & the occasional blip to clear bunches of cars and see you're doing 10-20mph or so over.

Its taken a lot of motoring pleasure out for me, I know you get favourite roads you can have a blat on but generally after any long journey I just fear my license lost for 2 weeks after.

Sad state of affairs when you spend equal time watching bridges and the side of the road as you do the rest of what is going on around you. especially when a capable driver in a more than capable car.

My cars to noisy above 75 in 5th because it comes on second cam at that point, gives me a headache if its constant for longer than 20 minutes, so iv found im saving money on gas and not worrying about being done for speeding on motorways at the moment.

this frightens me a tad, i drive to plymouth, exeter, bristol and truro alot and can't say i've noticed half the cars mentioned here.

especially green sprinter vans or focus st's.

there is quite a few range rovers around on the glenn valley road though, usually in grey/green/blue.

Sptted that Silver BMW Estate on the hard should of m5 between tauton dean and junction 27.
And it was in Southmead again last night!

They have another 5 series estate all marked up, a diesel (im guessing) but with an M5 badge stuck on top of the reflective stuff on the back. What jolly japesters those plod boys are..... laugh
There's more than one silver 5 unmarked, also a red old shape Octavia with full tints, a black one too. At least 2 X5s.

There are several marked 5s too...

Very black indeed Octavia estate only spotted 'cos it lit up like a Christmas tree. Junction of Monks Park / Gloucester Road, Bristol this afternoon.
I think I have seen that car, it's a new shape Octavia and was being piloted by some beefy chaps in bulky jackets.

may i suggest your purchase a new car?!?!

Saw a BMW estate similar to that spotted around bristol (above pictures) in the layby before the plympton turning (exeter bound) today. it was a slightly darker grey. the reg was wf57 something. never seen that one around plymouth before.

the two camera vans were out in force again yesterday too. on the bridge before you get to ivybridge (plymouth bound) and the long straight run before you get to marsh mills (plymouth bound) drumming up a few pennys for their xmas party kitty!!!!

He must have been going some, I'm not sure I've ever even followed a Police car sticking to the 20 through there!
