Northerner eh? Did she come home with a loaf of Hovis and a steam engine?
Be careful I'm from Liverpool and your cars from Blackpool, so your car could breakdown and I could have the wheels offhehe

Ok, ok... calm down.

Here's a question: why is it not 'lyverpool' if it's the river 'lyver' and women are 'lyverbirds' instead of the accepted 'livverpool'?

It's the river Mersey, but the Liver bird is the common thought of where the name comes from even though there is
no "liver" bird but it is thought that the bird is a cormorant. The bird is depicted with a sprig of laver in it's mouth (a type of seaweed) and this is thought to be where the name comes from.

I only show my ignorance once a day. You have the honour of the unveiling for Thursday 17th September.

Certificate is in the post. I've put "Dave" on there, because obviously I'd never use "Tarquin" in public. Hope this suits.

Sorry to butt into this little 'love fest' you've got going on here peeps hehe

But who's actually bringing food and who'll be eating at our local Prime Minister pub? I'm bringing the missus and want to know if I should make her a peanut butter sandwich or treat her to a grill? hehe

(sorry I haven't been very vocal on this thread, been enjoying myself in america the past few weeks biggrin)

Yeah I'm sure we'll pop down the pub at some point mate. If all of us don't go, me and Jen will certainly come with you. Are you bringing your mum this time? hehe

We'll most likely all go over to the pub at some point, or there's a cafe on site anyway. If we don't all go over, me and Jen will join you smile

I haven't been paying much attention to this thread.

What are we doing for food? Are we all off to a pub? Is there going to be a drive?

We're up for both I believe.

I'm quite flexible, Live near Bridgeyate/Longwell Green. We could go through Marshfield A420 to Chippenhan J17 and then motorway to break it up a bit. Or meet you M32 way
