I wonder if it has become more popular (and drifted away from the original ADC intentions) because of a number of new Facebook groups set up to promote it. These groups do not reference the ADC website and portray the event in a different light and hence attract a new type of person.
Absolutely packed yesterday, really good mix of cars & bikes. Saw Tusmans new addition to his fleet, a pristine targs 300ZX...very nice indeed !
Here it is & some of my favourites there, excuse quality etc camera phone & no ability ...

In the second picture (dark blue 928) you managed to capture me and my Patterdale 'Bob'!
It was a really good turnout as usual. I got chatting to the couple of police officers doing the rounds and they simply turned a blind eye to all the 'creative' parking.
I think my favourite was the green Ford Popular with the minimalist lines and the spotless engine bay, including the ingenious artwork on the rocker cover.

Based on Tony Taylor of the ADC personally emailing me and telling me himself!
All,
For the first time since 2009 when we started in Queen square ,that i can recall anyway , the square will be closed the second Sunday of the month for the Bristol 1/2 Marathon .
So the next meeting will be on the 20th so as not to clash with other events the weekend before .
Normal service will resume on the 11th of October .
As always please park thoughtfully , avoiding drop kerbs , and avoid to much noise etc .
See you on the 20th .
Tony

Good turnout today! I thought it may be a little quiet due to the different date!
Very busy. Some lovely cars.2nd car I have taken there, 2nd car that has got scratched by some wker. Bad this time too.
What the fk is the matter with people? Do they think they are toys to be climbed on by their kids? Or that it is ok to rub your ring covered hands all over them? My car picked up no less than EIGHT scratches today, some to the metal deep.
It's gonna cost a packet to put right. The cars are there to be LOOKED at DO NOT TOUCH them, they are not yours and it is criminal damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (that is aimed at the morons that did it if they are reading this).
Keep your bloody hands, rings, kids, belt buckles, handbags, keys etc off the damned cars you fking idiots!!!!
