Hi Guys

Iam going to be working in Gloucester for most of January.

I was wondering if there was any car related things to do in the area?

Maybe a car museum or something?

Sounds interesting. Do you know if there is a showroom, or maybe an exhibition?

Phone them in advance and you can do a factory tour for £10 IIRC

Bugatti museum at Prescott, and possibly an event at Prescott. See the Bugatti owners club website.

As mentioned, the Cotswold Motor Museum at Bourton on the Water is great. Not terribly far up the Fosseway from there is the heritage motor museum at Gaydon.

Always used to be free, but even at £10 would be excellent value.

Allow around three hours and prepare to be very impressed...smile

Morgan aren't open at weekends IIRC, and no there's not a lot else to do around Gloucester which is car related other than drive - there are some FANTASTIC roads, especially in the Gloucester/Cirencester/Dursley triangle driving

Depends on where you're staying and where you fancy going out for dinner. There are some great eateries dotted around the place too...

Stow on the Wold to Burford then the b4425 to cirencester, the a435 back towards cheltenham, or the a429 to Northleach and then A40 into Cheltenham

You could travel south a bit (25 miles) down to Castle Combe Circuit if they've got anything going on down there - some nice roads between there and Glos, but be careful on the A46 'cause they do have speed cameras on there occasionally - which I have written proof of from the DVLA rolleyes

Of course you could always meet up with some fellow PH's for a beer and chat about cars!

Thanks for your suggestions guys, keep them coming.

The plans so far is:

Next weekend go to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
And sunday maybe a drive to Malvern just to see the Morgan Factory from the outside.

Following weekend iam going to the Autosport show at NEC Birmingham.

Looking very much forward to it.
