The south coast is a reasonably affluent area of the UK and after seeing a yellow Gallardo on the M27 this morning I was wondering what else has been spotted whilst you were out and about...?

With the festival of speed this weekend the next few days should hopefully see some nice cars on the move.

BTW TVRs don't count!!!

thats odd, I know a guy called Gavin who lives only about a mile from you and he has a black Pantera. He also has some nice bikes and an original red GT40 and a replica one in a brown with the stripes.

On southtoday last night there wa an article on a couple who have a huge collection of cars. This year they are taken their original LM GT40 to GFOS.

My bro has spotted 2 Macca F1s on the M27 and called me to tell me he was driving behind them both times!

I had to feel sorry for them though, they can only afford old racing cars.

Me too that GT40 was lovely and the in car stuff was great. We must all be hitting middle age if we're staying in watching the local news.

Didn't catch the plate on the Lambo shnozz - surely it was the same one though?

I have yet to see an F1 in the carbon - hadn't seen a Countach before LM either and I saw two!!!

yeah, thought it must be the same one. Must say as I saw it driving away from me I thought how it wasnt really THAT eye catching as it dissapeared into the distance. Only a car enthusiast would really take note. Not the Lambos of old that were totally outrageous....

I did like the Gallardo a lot but the one this morning made me question whether I would have one. The Ferrari was always a smoother, more subtle car which was why it never stood out as much. These days I think the 360 probably stands out for than the Gallardo.

The Countach is still the wow factor car and I am going to test drive a couple soon to see if i can realistically fit and drive one to le mans next year. I didnt see any countachs this year Only Tony's Diablo parked opposite us in Houx.

I saw a red Countach at LM this year. Drove past us on Friday at Indy.

I've seen a Silver MacF1 hacking it bloody fast up the M5 near Birmingham.
Other than that I have seen them at the first 4 GFoS and climbed in one at the first show (when the whole event was relatively empty and a lot better).

There was a silver one at the first show parked next to a Vantage, F40, Ferrari 288 Evolutioni (?), XJ220, Lister Storm and something else. I have a pic of it somewhere. Still have the ticket too. It cost £8 for Sunday admittance on the first GFoS.

I loved it the MacF1 (with fries!) first time I saw it. Have always liked smaller cars, look like they'd be more fun on the B roads.

I agree - if it hadn't been for the colour then I might have missed it to be honest. Saw a black one at LM and it didn't set my heart racing or anything either. Now the orange Murcielago (sp?) we saw at the peage on the way back from LM was a different matter but still not a patch on some of the older stuff.

All the older Lambos did it for me - the Muira and the Diablo in particular and they were totally out there - I sense the steadying influence of VW on the designers pen in there somewhere which is a shame.

I think you'll get in a Countach OK - that bloke off Top Gear did and he's not small - and JC managed to park it. I take it this is as a rental for LM though and nothing ??

The orange Murcy on the Peage was like something from poster. Didnt look real, in a good way.

Apparently it was owned (and being drvien by) the bloke that owns Road Angel.

I parked behind a Silver Elise at that Peage.
Apparenly it was owned by Nicky Clark.

nah, something silly maybe on the horizon

always fancied owning one briefly. Its not the most practical sports car or the fastest, and a brief ownership may ensue when i realise all the faults, but ever since knee high to a grasshopper I have fancied one and now its depreciation-proof I may just have to dip my toe in the water.

Never been in a Countach but Tony took me out in his Diablo and it was incredible. Out of this world for the whole experience.
