Gutted I can't make the weekday meets, shame you can't run a weekend one, like a breakfast club maybe?
I have actually thought about a Sunday evening meet before. Breakfast is good but too busy at the venue with the golf pole society....

When it gets dark, only the main car park is lit. The grassy knoll is dark. Just thought I'd mention. When it is dark at 6:30pm...

I think there are 2 options, the changes proposed or you create a restricted forum in PH and only allow in those who are known/have been to a few already. This will also allow you to control growth as people who are added will generally be vouched for by existing entrants too.

I don't know which is the best approach tbh, probably the changes proposed already as natually the event will grow and we may just arrive at this point anyway a bit further down the line.

I really enjoyed it despite it being crazily busy! Especially with cars that look like they came from the set of Fast & Furious!

Still it was nice to see the massive verity of cars on show & i enjoyed chatting to people during the night (including you Bart!) even though i was worried for a time that it might because of all the crazy antics i've seen, that the show might have already died a death. Hopefully these changes might work for the best as i enjoy popping round (on foot!) every month, looking at the cars & having a friendly natter.

Highlights? Well Bart, you're Ultima looked amazing! Also i loved that pretty much original Sierra Cosworth too. Also just chatting to people, getting myself through the chaos & taking loads of pics, as i do!

Hopefully i'll still be allowed to come by foot or i may have to ask for lifts from my house from now on. That would be fun!

See you all next time. Hopefully!

That would be ideal granted smile

The beauty of where the event is held though is that the management are keen to help us make this meet better and better. From what I understand, most other meets secure somewhere to hold the meet but the venue management see it as somewhere to have it only. What does go hand in hand is the whole posh golf thing / nice cars scene - so for them it's nice extra promotional happenings.

Ok fair enough, what about same venue but see if a snack/burger van would be able to attend for bacon rolls?

Think the Kitchen Club would be pretty annoyed about that wink. However, they are thinking of putting on an outdoor Bar / Snack stool there for us next time.

There was stacks of food inside, a huge buffet for just £5 per person. We ate quite late in the evening and I was amazed to see so much food left. Wasn't anyone coming in to eat it?

Think they replenished the food as it diminished. We ourselves didn't eat till 9:15 and there wasn't that much left, which in a way is a good thing.

Only suggested that for a breakfast meet as you said they were too busy, would probably be better if there was a separate breakfast meet at another venue as food would be one of the attractions

A good meet again. A few 3.14keys there that helpfully said they were going to come to my house and steal my Sierra Cosworth !? I did ask the little mongtard if he'd ever driven one, he said no, I replied that he can't be that good at stealing them if he hasn't managed to get one in the last 25 years.

It's a great venue, made better as the management want to encourage us. An outside bar and BBQ or similar would ease the queues at the bar and pizza oven. Still early days yet as there's been less than half a dozen meets.

Thanks to Bart for arranging and managing this ongoing.

Ah, just seen the earlier comments about the fella in the Sprinter.... does that mean I'm not welcome in a Vivaro ?! I see someone also turned up in a big yellow cherry picker....

I thought about firing up the picker to take some aerial shots, wasn't sure who to ask permission from though.

I couldnt make this one due to car issues but had been asked by lots of people outside of pistonheads if i was going, events like this will never stay small as once word of mouth spreads it will get extremely busy.

I like the idea of a reserve list for top grass car park but that will need someone to police it untill its full. Will also need a list on the forum that is fair and if regulars miss putting name down they will have to park in the public bit and pay or it will cause issues.

Hopefully will have the car back ready for the next one
