Greasy spoon cafe

I love an early Sunday morning blast followed by a nice breakfast.
I'm inclined to go for quality and damn the price, I like to relax in comfort but some of the cafes on this thread sound like they're worth an outing and I could do with a change.
My favourites for breakfast are:
Billy's On The Road just north of Billingshurst
The Cowdray Farm Shop at Easebourne
Both of these tie in with a good drive on the A272
Billy's On The Beach at Bracklesham Bay. Right on the beach; good views.
Goodwood Motor Circuit cafe - now in the old airfield control tower - it doesn't have to be breakfast club, they're always open.
The suggestion for an early Sunday hoon? Fab. Yes please.
Try Whispers in Billingshurst, behind the supermarket (ignore the poncy name and order their big breakfast) or my personal favourite The Chalet 1 mile south of Cowfold on the road to Henfield. Not a greasy spoon but the breakfast at the departure lounge cafe in Alton is great. A good run back to Winchester from there.
So for the last 4 years I've lived next door to this place driven past it and never been in, looks like I've missed a gem. I also see on the website from May - September from 1400 on the first Sunday of the month they have a classic car meet. So you can do Goodwood then drive through the country to this show. Had to chuckle when I had breakfast in a spoons in Portsmouth last week. Had eggs benedict and they had run out of poached eggs I got told whilst waiting. They come ready in bags to boil and the "chef" wasn't able to make one from fresh!
Yes, most of the chefs in places like that are just re-heaters. Once you take out the overheads, the cost of the 'food' is almost nothing so makes you wonder about the quality of it.Still, people do like to buy on price rather than quality hence they are always busy.
Wetherspoons are still great for real ale though.

Coupe of my favourite greasy spoon cafes...
The Blue Bird on the waterfront at Lee on Solent, this morning, mega breakfast with extra black pudding, small breakfast, 2 mugs tea, 1 can coke, £14.
Upstairs in the bus depot on the hard at Portsmouth, right by Portsmouth harbour train station. Two teas, 2 bacon and egg sandwiches, 2 bowls chips. £9.
Any others I should try?

Sadly the one at Portsmouth Hard has gone.
Cafe Verdi at Fort Victoria, Isle of Wight is my regular haunt.

Rather appropriately I have resurrected this long time unconscious thread.
I am looking for a greasy spoon near Worthing Crematorium (BN14 0RG). I could go to the Sea Lane Cafe (BN12 4HR) - recommended - but I would really prefer something nearer the Crem.
Any suggestions, please?
