Hey

Apart from spending a few holidays as a kid in Bournemouth I don't know the area at all well. I 'think' Eastbourne is near by (correct?) and have seen a few posts mentioning that.

Are there many PHers in Bournemouth? I'll be moving down sometime around LeMans weekend, also sorting out a car at the same time so will be up for a hoon anytime!

I'll be working in the centre of the town, and probably living within walking distance of the centre, so also up for a few beers.

Cheers and hopefully meet a few of you soon,

Andy (aka Rico)

Yep, Eastbourne is pretty close to Bournmouth, in the region of 120 miles one way!

Close enough?

There are quite a few TVRs in the area although some owners are soft southern shandy-drinkers who only take them out in the second week of July.

There's a TVR Car Club region that meets just outside Bournemouth.

There's Westbourne, Northbourne and Southbourne all in Bournemouth - often wondered why Eastbourne was so far away - perhaps some OAPs decided to form a breakaway group.

Anyway I'm in Bournemouth.

Dorset region meets at the Avon Causeway.

I'm in Bournemouth as well.

Aye - quite a few about in Bournemouth, although you tend not to see too many this time of year....clearly too much shandy!

Anyway, I'm in Bournemouth, looking forward to a hoon sometime quite soon!

Cool. Glad there will be a few other PHers around to share a beer with and go for hoons. I'll post once I've moved in and got everything sorted.

What, you mean the same Avon Causeway that already hosts the TVR Car Club meeting once a month. That is already attended by TVR owners?

We have enough problems getting people to turn up to that, never mind two meetings in the same month!

If the other non-TVR owning Pistonhead population want to turn up, I doubt anyone would complain. There's plenty of parking.

What's the point in two meetings? Wouldn't it be nicer if everyone attended the same one?

Personally I was looking for another night out .... the TVR meet is on a Sunday which, come summer, is not a good thing really as personally I'll be going to shows / races / hillclimbs etc

I also prefer something more multi marque ... my experience of single marque clubs isn't good. But theres nothing to stop people going to both.

So is the TVR Meet this Sunday at the Avon Causeway?

I'm about(for a bloody change!) on Sunday, so I could bring the Tus along.

Anyone else up for it?

I'm coming down to Bournemouth tomorrow for a couple of days to meet the possible future boss (Gallardo owner ) and see the offices, staff etc etc.

With a bit of luck, I'll be down just after LeMans so i'll organise a drinks evening then to meet you all
