After the last night was unfortunatly cancelled, I did have a word with the management at my local, The Ferryboat inn on Hayling island. Its a nice location, right on the entrance to Langstone harbour, plenty of room, good food, and they already hold a bike meet there one night a month.

I was in there on Sunday, and they asked me again if there had been any progress ( as I had messaged the Hut organisers to say the Ferryboat were interested) but they have had no contact other than myself, but if the interest is there, shall I try to progress a meet there?

I’d be game for that, also Haylingjag would probably have no objections!!

Okay, I will wait for a few more replies to gauge interest, but I can pop there in the morning to get more information, and set a possible date. I might see if Haylingjag fancies getting involved too!

Link to the website, i'll try to pop some pictures up too, it is a very nice spot, and a fair distance from any houses, so shouldnt upset the locals!

I'm up for that, but do remember, Hayling Island is no place for want too be Lewis Hamilton's, with 30mph limits on majority of the Island roads, plus, this is Gary's baby, and I think out of respect, he should be contacted first.

I did pass the information on weeks ago, but received no reply, we could try it on a different timing? IE mid month so there is no conflict if the original night can find a venue, or if the Hut becomes an option again?

I sent Gary an email at the start of the week, I have not received a reply as yet. So on Monday I will pop to the Ferryboat, and see if we can put something together!

Okay I have spoken to the management of the Ferry boat inn, they are quite keen to have a car meet there. I have opted for a date of Tuesday 1st of August. From 1830hrs. If I post up a list for people to sign up to, so we can gauge interest, then hopefully we can get something off the ground. I will need some help arranging, so if any volunteers are willing to help that would be great!

People to marshal the cars in mainly, I will try to make some signs to place at locations, I am thinking of two placed at the manor road roundabout, and one at the fair, there really should be no need for now than that. I will make the list for tomorrow, hopefully we will get interest!
