Where are we going guys? Wales or Cheddar?
Cheddar this time. Will plan a Brecon trip for summer, if you'd be up for leading?

I have emailed the Woodford at Chew, which is based on the side of Chew Valley Lake, to see if they could accommodate potentially 15-20 hungry petrol enthusiasts for breakfast....

Does look like a bit of me! https://thewoodfordatchew.co.uk

The Woodford have this morning confirmed we can go there for breakfast.

They open at 0830. With a bit of planning we'll time it so we arrive at approx. 0800, which leaves us time to have a natter and walk around the cars before they open thumbup

Menu here: https://thewoodfordatchew.co.uk/on-the-menu/

Woodford have set a cap on the group size that they can accommodate. This is 20 people, so obviously this will need include any passengers

From looking at the list below, I'm presuming I only need to add Lez on, Darren? I've put a +1 next to your name on the register already.

If you plan on bringing a passenger, please can you add +1 and update the total.

1. NicCTR - EP3 Civic Type R
2. Berkshire bred - Megane R26
3. Red Devil - MR2
4. Shantybeater - 911 or M3
5. Breadvan - 911 or M3

7. Alyr32 - R8/R32
8. ecain63 - Alfa GQF
9. JRC1 - R32

14. Clarky92 - Golf GTI PP
15. Aiden - S2000

Nic breadvan is down twice, so we are at 16 so far.
Nice spot, Aly. Cheers - will amend.

Also 911 or M3 twice, is that a coincidence?

That completes our 20 head limit smile

Going to speak to one of my suppliers at work about borrowing some walkie talkies. That way can try and keep everyone together, which is always challenging with a group of this size.

If anyone has some or access to some already that would be great, so let us know smile

Spoke with Woodford today and they've said they will be there at 0800. Means we can get tea/coffee as soon as we arrive and I'm sure we could pre-order our food then too.

Main meeting point will be Ower Services off J2 M27
0515 hrs
Postcode SO51 6AS

There is a big car park at the Texaco which is open 24hr, as is the McDonalds if anyone fancies it.

Those of you who I know are based around Winch and further north, might I suggest meeting prior at our favourite Shell garage beforehand? Will take you 15 mins at the limit to get to Ower.

I'm going to Thruxton today for TOCA testing, so by the end of tomorrow I'll share the proposed route for you to review over the weekend. Any constructive criticism is welcome.

Cheers everyone!

Provisional route to Cheddar and Woodford for breakfast here: https://tinyurl.com/y7g83ofq

I wanted to include the A350 for the run there but there's roadworks/closures.

We will stop in the gorge for photo opp's, let us hope for a sunny morning!

And here is the provisional route back: https://tinyurl.com/ybtrds3k

I figured if we picked up the A303 this would give the option for anyone who wants to get back in a hurry. Otherwise you'll see that we'll peel off and across to Wilton then to Stockbridge. The White Hart in Stockbridge is a nice stop for a cold refresher but obviously people can peel off at different times on the way back.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions then I'm sure you'll let me know biggrin

I shall see about walkie talkies when I'm back in the office next week, going to be a task in itself keeping up to 20 cars together!

Just to add, on the route there we will not be stopping at the Riverside Inn & Restaurant - it's just a landmark on the route which takes us round a roundabout. Don't think other road users would appreciate 20 cars trying to turn around in Cheddar village! hehe
