Had a bit of a leak from a flat roof during storm ‘Massive bd’ last week. Insurance won’t pay out as there’s no physical damage, but the very kind surveyor they sent out managed to find where it was leaking (he’s a roofer by trade) and gave us loads of advice on what to do/look out for. Looks like the strength and direction of the winds has blown water under/through/around the flashing and into the roof void underneath. It’s obviously leaked previously as there are loads of bodges on it (silicon everywhere, patched with flash band all over the place etc), so needs stripping off and redoing.

Any recommendations for a roofer to re-flash it? We’re planning on replacing the whole thing with a pitched roof in the next year or two, so just want the immediate issue sorted so I can strip and re-plaster inside.

I used 1st call roofing and property maintenance for a couple of small repairs. Priced very reasonably and their work has been fine so far.

Have a look at 121 Roofing they're in Fareham and travel far and wide, they've just done a weeks work on our house and I'm delighted with their work.

If stuck try Pete Longland at Abbey Roofing, he's done 2 jobs for me, both leaks, both done very well.
