I have used these people. Luckily, I’ve never been in the market for many refurbs in my motoring career. So I did the asking around and these guys in Southampton were recommended. They did 6 Mk1 Focus RS alloys. Removed tyres, blasted, repaired any kerb damage, crack tested, powder coated the whole wheel, then applied a wet paint finish of my choice (anthracite). They then refitted tyres with new valves, balanced using black adhesive weights due to the dark paint and also painted 6 centre caps to match. Absolutely perfect finish. Drive in/drive out in a day. £340.
I have absolutely no doubt they can do a fantastic job, just in my specific case it hasn’t gone to plan.I went back yesterday and they swapped over all the wheel weights. No apology or anything of the sort, felt like I was a pain in their back side the way they dealt with it.
Hopefully other people don’t have the st service or finish I’ve had and it’s just a one off crap job they have done.
Well my car went in today. On stripping the wheels back they found they had been filled in 2 areas on 2 wheels and they would need some welding, that put the cost right up, not their fault but it felt expensive after that. The wheels look great and they were all pleasant to deal with.
Update - Barely done 1000 miles/ cleaned a handful of times and now paint is just flaking off the wheels.
I don’t use £5 car washes with harsh chemicals. Normal clean is snow foam/ fall out and two bucket method using and very soft wheel brush for wheels and Dodo juice shampoo. Where the paint is flaking there are no chips or signs of damage at all. I haven’t driven on gritted roads/ anywhere near a gritter lorry as not driven car since the weather turned.
Would say I’m shocked but half expected this given what’s happened already. How on earth these cowboys are still in business with repeat customers is beyond me. If there weren’t more important things in the world to worry about right now, I think I’d be taking this to small claims.

Taking our Mini Cooper S wheels to the wheel specialist in a few weeks along with a 437m BMW alloy..
How did it go?My wheels are booked in with them for early January. This thread has me a little worried, so Ill be laying the law down on arrival!
Mini looks ok, but Lepsons would be my choice of doing again.

I'm glad I found this thread! I'd been setting up a wheel refurb with them towards the end of last year but in the end had other car problems which delayed the process.
Recently tried to start it back up but no response to emails, I think I'll stop chasing them!
These are the guys to go to now, nothing but good stuff from them, and a lot cheaper than The WS http://www.alloy-wheel-repair.com/Recently tried to start it back up but no response to emails, I think I'll stop chasing them!

I enquired but their email is bouncing which isn't encouraging.. I also contacted http://www.auto-wheels.co.uk/ who have a quite generic looking website but good reviews and fairly long history on here.

My wheels are in with http://www.auto-wheels.co.uk as I type, I'll report back how it goes!
To update this, the result is - good!
Good things:
Very quick turn around - < 24 hours
High quality finish
Easy to communicate with
Good availability
Reasonable pricing - while price wasn't the major driver for me, I had quotes of £150 ex VAT per wheel. This came in @ £120 inclusive.
Not-so-good things:
Had to ask them to do one of the wheels again due to debris under the lacquer
Finish is nice, but it's not from-the-factory perfect
I'd use them again.

That seems expensive considering you had to have them redo at least one of the wheels.Good things:
