They’re knocking them in thick and fast. Went from Wickham to Alresford and north on the A32. New cameras spotted today at:
West Meon
West Meon Hut
West Tisted crossroads
There was just the singular camera at East Tisted when I last went up a fortnight ago or so.

Asking for a friend, How many times do they need to spontaneously combust or have a small lead pellet pass through them before they will not bother reinstating them.

Cameras going up now on A272 going west from BP garage all the way to Bramdean.
Waze appears to have them accurately located, even before they went up.
Poles in the ground but no cameras installed, at least that was how it was tonight.

Many people bump their gums about this sort of heroism, but very few do anything. Anarchy in the U.K. etc etc.

Thats exactly what the police say, its in the villages thats the main issue.

I have ridden the Ridgeway the last few years, there are seasonal closures but the rest of mostly open .

Hi, I live and work in the Meon Valley and have a Ducati 749 with a Termignoni, it makes a nice sound without being in your face.
Most of my customers will complain about the noise of bikes at the weekend, they don’t really care about speeding as long as you keep to the speed limits throug the villages, problem is they now associate noise with speed.
The stretch from Mislingford (Sanderson wood yard through to Loomies is a particular problem as the sound of a modern bike with a race exhaust carries for miles, especially early morning 5am onwards when it is deathly silent.
Riders do need to be more considerate of the residents or stricter limits will be introduced. It’s a little like the ridgeway where everyone used to be able to use the green lane with no issues until the 4x4 tiny dick brigade decided that getting stuck and then fking up the lane by using winches and wheel spin was a good laugh. Now everyone is banned.

Six pairs are now active and working, I'm told.

I've not driven either road for a few weeks, but understand the installation is going quickly now. Not sure how far it's going to cover and can't find much about the placement online.

I went out on the bike this evening passing through West Farringdon towards Loomies in West Meon on the A32. Unfortunately was totally unaware of the average speed cameras until I left Loomies Cafe.

Riding back along the A32 only saw 3 cameras. Are there more ?

There was also a police officer with a hand held gun along the route. Stopped and asked him whether the cameras had been switched on. He was unsure, said sone were on but now all.

The easiest thing to do is just not speed on this stretch of road.

There are plenty of better riding/driving roads in the area and I suspect residents will soon find out that the issue was not speeding but non-road use cans fitted creating all the noise.

Did I hear correctly that a biker died on this road a few days ago near the West Meon Hut?

Further east on the A272 at Langrish on Weds. 25yr old motorcyclist died at the scene after an an incident with an HGV. Road is still closed 3 days later. Driver of the HGV has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving. Police wording of that side of the investigation very unusual.

Wonder which ones they're asking. Don't think my Dad is too pleased and he lives just off the A32

They'll be the ones that don't drive smile

Be interesting to see if this does actually make a difference,

The purile response would be to drive at 50mph but in second gear.
