Drove past this afternoon, some lovely cars parked up and it looked rather busy. Also drove past a stunning Miami Blue GT3 just past C&M

The ticket thing works really well in stopping the nutters misbehaving , since you put the reg on there and there is a s**t list of those that dont act respect ably

Also allows the control of numbers by limiting tickets meaning less disruption on local roads

I like the whole ethos and food/drinks ordering process, can even take the wife there

Wish them all the best and I will no doubt visit a couple of the places this year

I went today for the first time (and obviously paid, which was fine as it guaranteed entry), and overall, it was good.

The carpark seemed a bit small (obviously, they had the planning rejected to expand), but it didn't take long to look around what was parked up, and it would be better with more space.

From memory, a Pint of C&M larger, a bottle of Diet Coke, and a posh bottle of apple juice were £13. A burger with chips, fish tacos, and kids' pizza with chips were £31. Annoyingly, I had to order this from two different places (bar/table service), and if I wanted a coffee, I think I may have needed to go to a third, but maybe I had it wrong!

Most people don't seem to realise that you get half your ticket price off your food too.

Car park planning wasn’t rejected it was withdrawn (not sure why).

Regarding ticket and discount it’s £5 for food and drink from the ticket price. £10 if booked under a month and £7.50 over 1 month.

So is it a ticket per car or a ticket per person?

Per car mate, I’m heading there tomorrow for lunch, yes I had to pay £10 for a ticket but as previously mentioned £5 off food so it’s basically £5 for parking.

True, but I assume they got word and withdrew it. Pretty common, I think.

Yes I believe common and saves having a rejection on file I guess. I suspect they will get this summer out the way and then resubmit if there’s been no complaints from residents it will then work in their favour as they can prove it works in the area.

We ended up eating at Loomies £13 for food and drink obviously more dated inside but always an option.
Loomies looks a less pretentious option, thanks

Popped in this afternoon, predictably for a bank holiday very busy. There was nothing particularly interesting there at the time but its a nice setup. Let's be honest it is a glorified pub inside but lots of people chatting about their cars in the car park and a good atmosphere about the place.

That’s my concern with the idea, you pay for a ticket and turn up and there’s nothing there but a load of Ford C-Max’s all looking for some nice cars. Do they actually have anything there on display? Is there any guarantee you will see something nice?

Nothing guaranteed that I could see but it wasnt bad, just not brilliant. Lots of M2/3/4s and lots of 320ds modified to look like them. I think the crowd might put off owners of anything really special.

Tickets are usually only required for events and busy periods. Have a look at their website, maybe pop in during the week and see if it’s going to be your thing or not. If it’s not, there’s always Loomies, with the faint odour of biker piss in the car park! Bring back the Little Chef!

Has the food in loomies improved since pre-Covid?

I’ve eaten there a few times since Covid (but not before) they’re not going to win a Michelin star bit then they’re not trying to. Burger was better than a far more expensive one that I had elsewhere so I’d put it middle of the road. More than happy with what I got for the money.

I popped yesterday mid morning (brunch time) with my kids to check the place out. The food and coffee were great and I thought things like the EVO mags on all the tables were nice touches. The place has a nice vibe about it.

I had two thoughts though, There was virtually no-one there, so the "car meet" feel was non existent. I don't know what I was expecting mid week and mid morning to be honest, but its Easter holidays so i thought there may be a few people out with their kids like me. As it was there was two cayennes in the car park plus my golf GTi and literally nothing else when i arrived. Although one of the cayennes had some kind of side exit exhaust so I don't know what was going on with that! By the time I left there was also a GR yaris there, plus an insignia and a disco 4. Maybe I was there at the wrong time!

The other is that having been to "the motorist" in yorkshire, I was expecting it be a bit more of a specialist venue like that. My son took some pocket money hoping to buy a matchbox car or something, but the shop was more clothes / merchandise orientated. As others have said its essentially a (very nice!) car themed pub. Which is great, but perhaps there is a missed opportunity there?

Ethier way i thought it was nice and will be going again!
