For some time on the M27 there have been speed cameras at various points on the gantries. Driving along today, heading eastbound from Southampton Airport Parkway junction to the Fareham east junction I noticed numerous cameras which looked exactly like average speed cameras.... I swear they're new? No signs next to them, and no signs saying average speed cameras etc and Waze was also seemingly oblivious to them.

Anyone know anything about them?

Cheers.

Aren't they going to resurface the road so preparing for another misery of three years at 50mph?

Ah you may be right. I'm hoping it won't be that long! I remember reading about that a while ago actually, but it's only the section that's concrete. Wouldn't have thought it'd take them that long?! That said, I should know by now to never expect speedy and efficient road works laugh

The concrete section is horrible. If the road is wet and the sun comes out, the lane markings are almost invisible. I’ve had other cars wonder across into my lane several times along there.

If you ever lose situational awareness of your lane position due to this, a quick reference glance in your wing mirrors usually works wonders.

Yeah, it's a very bad surface!
