Good to meet you as well Si! Like you said, another one soon + a big greasy fry up sounds great!

Hi guys, enjoyed the run this morning and it was good to meet you. I'll look forward to the next time. I was impressed at how well the "Clio sorry!" managed to keep up - good work that man...
Thanks! It's fair to say I had to drive a little harder to keep up with a Tamora and a Viper! wink
As I said, all with 1.4 litres and 32.6 mpg smile
P.S. When I waved you past your 4200 sounded glorious!! Hope I didn't get in your way!

He he it was only up to that as I was driving like a coffin-dodger on the way back! Was about 27/28 when I was thrashing it.
Tesco must love me! smile
Take it easy and hopefully have a run again soon smile

Blimey, I'd love 27 on a run like that! Think I used about 30 litres today.

Cheers Luke; next time maybe I'll get a chance to take you for a quick spin.

Just goes to show that it's more about the man behind the wheel, than what's under the bonnet.

Cheers guys for an awesome run this morning! Fine cars, fine weather and good to be in the company of like-minded petrolheads!

Looking forward to getting out again soon (maybe even fitting in a spot of breakfast?!)

See you all soon

Cheers guys
Si
Yeah, breakfast would have been good - especially as we went past a place just before Burley that reeked of a good old English Fry-Up!

Had a great run down to Seatown afterwards; the wife was driving so it was a bit more sedate, and mostly on the A31 and A35. But I reckon a good run could be cobbled together for that. It's about 50 miles, so adding some windies would up it a tad.

But at the other end there is a superb shingle beach area, quite a large grass car park (my TVR copes OK) and a great pub that does good tea, coffee (BEER!) and food. Or, a couple of miles on to Charmouth there's a cafe for a more standard breakfast.

I'll see if I can sort out a scenic route.

He he thanks! smile
Was good fun thrashing along to keep up!
I did have a bit of fun elsewhere as well, while you guys were talking about your cars in the Beaulieu car park and I drove off, I went off down the gravel car park at a fair pace and lifted off to slow down not realising the back would swing round quite as much (only at 15/20mph) and ended up with an armful of lift-off oversteer and drifted completely sideways down the car park!
Completely unintentional as well! wink Good fun though! driving
P.S. Thanks for the offer Lee, would be good fun!

Hi, may aswell use this oppurtunity to introduce myself as i've been lurking around here for a while now. I've got an MR2 and live in Talbot Woods. Not sure of any PH activity around the area apart from the Elise guys. Would be good to hear from any others in the area.

Cheers, Andy
It's not a black Mr2 Turbo is it?

Hi Minimatt

No it wasn't a turbo - it was a silver roadster but i swapped it a few months ago for the Elise in my profile

Cheers

oh right sounds a good swap to me my friend has a type 49 111s and every time I fall/crawl/contort myself into it (being 6'2" and a few pounds too many hehe) , it blows my mind!!!

The reason I ask is I see a black MR2 turbo almost every morning and it goes past work doing a nice tschhh, which brightens my day.

Hope to see you around
Matt

CAPS..... wink
Any reason why you are called Justin/Jessica....?
Anyhow onto your suggestion, PH meets in general tend to be driving meets and not in car parks.
It certainly isn't my "scene" anyway...

Hey Zed, get out over the weekend for a blast?

And back to jessicasvt... No, I don't have a problem with your name, it was merely a question.
Do you really think that is going to endear us towards you...? And yes, you're right I'd struggle to keep up with my big fat mouth and my tiddly clio wink

Gary, shame you couldn't make the meet, just had a quick look at your car on your profile, looks very nice! thumbup

did you spot me? biggrin out both days last weekend for short blasts including quick visit to CanAm club gathering on constitution hill overlocking Poole and the Purbecks - brilliant view and laid-back, happy people to talk to when not oggling big-blocks and aircraft carrier cars. heading to bath sunday 11th morning if anyone wants to tag for part of the way.

No, unfortunately I haven't been around for a drive frown
Been up to Stoke for a friends engagement party and back to my parents for a couple of weekends.
So mega mileage but nothing that fun frown
Visited all my old haunts back in Sussex though, just a shame I couldn't take my mum's Clio 182 or my dad's 7 Roadsport 140... wink

Glad to hear you had a good one.
Hopefully we'll be able to make another meet before some people's cars are put away for hibernation!
