A dash for fish and chips

Hi folks,
One of our local members (from surrey and surrounds) decided that she had an overwhelming craving for fish and chips, which is normally fine except for the fact that she wanted to go to the seaside to have her meal...
But then I had a great idea, I thought that I could organise a run from surrey to the south coast in search of the finest fish and chips around!
So why am I posting this here? Well I need to find a good fish and chippie! I dont mind where on the southcoast, just so long as we can have a great drive and a great meal.
I have driven to Selsey and Southsea several times but I dont recall ever eating at either.
So does anyone have any suggestions for me? Also whilst we are devouring the food, it would be nice if a few if you locals could pop on by and join us.

Alverstoke chippy in Gosport is fantastic - it has won awards and you are virtually on the seafront
