Has it got any better yet?

I go on a training course once a month for a week up in Chessington (opposite world of adventures), but never go through Hindhead. I go though Liphook, Haslemere and then back on instead.

Just wondering if it's any more flowing and worth going through it (7ish am and 6:30ish pm) or stick to my route avoiding the lights like the plague.

I'd leave it until 2011, then it'll be a lot better...
Northbound I won't go near it much after 6 am.

Avoid the area if possible. if your going up the A3, going through Bordon on the A325 and along the Hogs back to guildford and back out on the A3 is a good alternative. Just watch out for scamera vans in the 60 zone. Normally around in pairs so you think 'he he got past him' then you put your foot down and snap goes number 2!

On simiilar thread, for anyone who does choose to run the gauntlet of Hindhead. The southbound scamera has moved and is now just as you enter the south side set of road works, if this makes sense!

I drove back through there yesterday as I came home mid day. The cues weren't to bad because of this, only started cueing at the lights.

They're re-routed the roads at the bottom and top. Scarey thing is that I didn't see the speed camera going southbound, only one on the other side of the road, north bound....eeek

I live about 100yds from the Hindhead lights!
6.30 - 7.00 am is fine, no problems at all. Watch out for the new speed cameras in the roadworks, though.

Out of interest...

Hit the traffic just before Bramshot/ Liphook turning at: 7:27am

Crossed the lights at : 7:57am

Out from the roadworks ar/ 40MPH zone and back to nation speed limit at : 8am

So about half an hour to get through it all.

Not too bad but still a pain the arse.

That's going north. I've not been south in a while so I don't know if it's getting any better or not.

Hi, GBM! Went straight through today at 1030am - 6 minutes from Liphook turning on A3 to the lights and 5 minutes to the ensd of the roadworks. Similar return times. I think you just have a problem if you need to be anywhere by 9am. Rush hour I always do the Liphook-Haslemere route.

10:30am. What are you doing going to work at that time! Cough slacker.

Yeah I think it is just the time. I am on a plumbing course up in Chessington so I have to go once a month. Leave here 7ish, get up there 8:20/30ish.

I have noticed that they have ETA to the lights signs now....or did have?

I go Petersfield, Liphook, Haslemere, then back on soon after Hindhead. Is it worth sticking on the back roads and go back onto the A3 at Godalming or go back on earlier....(forgot where I turn back!).

Going in late tomorrow so I'll give the lights another run. Will be passing them at 9:30ish.
