The Warehouse is proud to announce that it is making one of the biggest changes to it's music policy ever. Friday nights are being re-launched on July 2nd. As well as the addition of the new rock floor, the other 2 floors are also changing. The splitting of the floors by era is gone, instead there are 2 distinctive types of music (bottom floor - ROCK, middle floor - INDIE), plus an altogether new night on the top floor named RADAR. The new floors are as follows:
ROCK - Gone is the 80's bottom floor, in comes a 2nd ROCK night (the other being Saturday top floor). Fans of the current bottom floor needn't worry as Saturday bottom floor is staying exactly the same. We welcome a new DJ to the club to take on this new night - Roger (Mr Fluffy to some), so please come a lend him your support.
INDIE - DJ Steve is continuing to dj this floor but the brief of the 90s is gone and instead will be playing a floor filling classic and contemporary indie set. As well as playing the best of the current crop, with the 80s floor missing Steve can now occasionally delve into the best of the rest too. This means The Smiths can be played alongside The Libertines, The Jam alongside Jet, etc.
RADAR - Whilst the bottom and middle floors will be delivering floor fillers from their respective genres, RADAR will have an altogether different brief. DJ Ben will be relieved of the usual floor filling responsibilities and the emphasis shall be on playing a more cutting edge and different set. Ben will be breaking new bands and finding future anthems that will probably be picked up later by the other 2 floors. In short, ...this floor will take risks.
Enjoy
