Tatton Classic Car Show

Good idea to get there nice and early and get to the stand before the traffic starts queuing outside Tatton. I'd trying to get there for 9.00am, 9.30pm latest.
Top tip for the campers. Take some earplugs with you or get very very very p!ssed. Its the only way you will get some sleep when camping at the end of a runway used by 747s - believe me.
I'll bring some "Don't even think about touching!" notes for the windscreens (although they could also be used on beer stocks, tents and trousers. ) to keep people from playing with wingmirror buttons and opening your car all bloody day.
Still praying that we get glorious weather - I've ordered it (but not from West Yorkshire!).
See ya there.
Should be there on Sunday. Will probably turn up sometime in the early afternoon or may even do the before 9:30am slot. Will be coming in the Halcyon beast, but parking with the numpties, not with the gentry (and Jessica)!
On Sunday I will mostly be dribbling over TVRs, AC Cobras, Jags and not much else.

No Bryan . On sunday we had Carls red Ferrari.
The TVR plot was soon full and we had to use some of the area allocated to the Cobras as overspill.
We were joined by our friends from Yorkshire region.
There was a very nice T350 and Tamora along side an original griffith. Blisteringly hot weather and a round of applause for the 50 car engine rev.
The raffle raised well over a grand for the Mark France Memorial fund.
We also won a ranking for best stand.
I don't know how we are to top that lot at the August show.

Hi Russell, sounds good. Will the organisers give us a bigger plot for the August show then, I think they owe it to us? Maybe we could get the show planned out with a theme. (naked dancing girls or something like that).
Sounds like I missed a good day - but at least I don't have sun burn.

The August show is going to be a much bigger event as it dosn't clash with the motor show or Gt racing.
Its on August 21st and 22nd. We have a much larger plot at this event and will be having several TVR related guest exhibitors on the stand. I am not sure at this stage whether we will be able to satisfy Bryans and Jessicas requirements for semi-naked fireman or dancing girls. Should anybody with a uniform (or not) wish to volunteer, then, please email me.

If you cannot manage the firemen, than a sprinkler system would be good, if it is as warm as it was last Sunday.
I was not there that long, but had to take cover under the awning.
cue requests for Miss/Mrs Wet T-shirt!!!!!!
Only if you supply well muscled young men to take theirs off!
How you fixed Jess?

Well I was gonna offer but you asked for muscles
Am sure there are plenty of men who would like to show off their products of considerable investment in pies and beer though. Sorry but I don't fall into that category either
So, do we know any pretty young ladies willing to show off wet la-la's.

start of talking about muscle and guys and end up with Telly Tubbies, are we expecting rain then
We thought it was great - only problem we had was too little time to get around all sites; didnt even spend any real time meeting fellow tvr owners -naughty.
Never been to a show before last Bolton Abbey thing but this was amazing. One mg midget was actually parked on ally mounting plates and had mirrors angled to see underneath! And a lady on the triumph stand telling a guy with mg t shirt she'd rather push a triumph than drive an mg. Then the hoarded bits of mirrors, lights and dizzy caps, some exquisitely laid out, others lashed in dusty rusty boxes. The mustangs - never knew how big they were till up close. And that Ultima with the 5.7 engine and an airfilter the size of an OZ wheel - all quite amazing. As we were driving off, a marcos emitting the most evil but wondrous sound I have ever heard - yellow and black car I think. Scary.
Very good. If we can get folk to look after the dogs we'd love to stop overnight next time. Thanks to Wavy Dave for sorting the tickets. And what a great touch doing that raffle for the family of the lad that died recently - well done people. It never is just about the cars; it's the folks too.

Hello Jim,
I went on Saturday only so missed you on this occasion. I think your description and sentiments sum it up very well though! Well said.
