Off topic, if someone can recommend a better photo hosting thing than photobucket, I'd be grateful. Thankyou.

Ace. Many thanks indeed. There's nothing particularly wrong with any of those shots, they could be a bit sharper but that might be any number of things, including your photo-host dropping the resolution when you upload - which is why I always reduce mine to 800xwhatever before uploading to photobucket.
I've become interested (OK, obsessed) recently with 'panning' shots. Using a slower shutter speed (1/125 for example) but panning the camera as the car passes you, so that in theory the car is sharp but the background is blurred. It's a real hit-and-miss technique that (for me at least) leads to a lot of scrap photos, but can give some nice results. It's hard to tell from a freeze-frame shot whether the car is on the parade lap or actually going for it, where a nice blurred background gives the impression of speed.
Like any technique, though, you can overdo it - from that weekend I must have several hundred almost-identical shots, even after culling the blurred ones. So face-on shots as they come around a bend can be good as well, though this starts to get a lot less interesting as the race progresses - while they're all bunched up early on it gives a better photo, IMO.
Practice, practice, practice though - if you can get down to Oulton during the week, I believe there's a lot of testing and track days, so an ideal chance to practice shooting moving vehicles to see what you like.
