Blue TVR Chimaera (with hood up) spotted this morning around 10.15 on Poolstock Lane in Wigan then seen heading onto Warrington road towards Goose Green.

A familiar black V8 Vantage at St. Helens Starbucks/Tesco Windle Island that I haven't seen for a while.

Even now, a decade later, they look so right in their detailing and the way they're stanced. Beautiful thing to see in amongst the daily crap.

Not spotted by me, but someone told me they had seen a Delorean at a garage in or around the Leigh area yesterday, and not just any Delorean but one done up just like the one from Back to the Future. Apparently there were a couple of blokes stood around it.

What looked like an Austin 7 spotted heading past The Poacher on Scot Lane in Blackrod yesterday afternoon about 1pm. Seems to be quite a few classic/vintage cars knocking about this time of year, you'd think they'd all be tucked away by now.

They could have been to the New Years day classic car meet at the Corner House restaurant in Wrightington.

Or there was a VSCC do at a pub in Audlem. The VSCC guys seem to be very active, even (or especially) in the depths of winter, plenty of New Years Day gatherings around the country.

I'd heard about the New Years Day meet at the Corner House, but surprised that many went. No mention of this on the FB page for some reason though, well last time I checked that is. Nice to see people are using them this time of year, considering all the horrendous flooding we've had in the area. The Appley Bridge, Gathurst and Parbold areas suffered alot.

It's the version of the model, i.e. it's a Vantage N430. c.f. Golf GTI, Focus RS, Astra GTE, etc,etc, etc.

The less flippant answer is that it refers to the power, i.e. 430bhp.

The V8V is 420bhp, so it's only 10bhp more. The N430 has coloured paintwork around the grill and the wing mirrors and the bits towards the doors (I can't think what you'd call those sections). I think there is one version that does not have the paint changes, so it looks like a normal V8V (so like the one in your photo).

It's marketed as a more sporty/race version of the V8V.
