Ladies, Gents, PWiggy.........

Is it not about time that we had another run up to "The Romper" via the glorious Manchester Airport tunnels ?

Here goes with the first attempt then:

Sunday Feb 27th, 10:00-10:30 underground car park, Peel Avenue, Traffic centre. Tootle up through Sale etc to the tunnels, quick blatt through there and to "The Romper" for a cheese and tomato (without the tomato) sandwich.

Will check back later/ tomorrow for interested parties or suggested other dates, and start a list when we've got anyone to put on it.

I should be able to do that (when I get my Chim next week).

I'll bring along my work equipment, I'll be able to get some excellent audio recordings (in surround stereo) of the noise through the tunnels, and host them here for others to experience.

If I can source one, I'll try and bring along a minidv camcorder on a clamp and edit the two together.

Can I suggest that rather than drive through Sale, which is a rather boring road, we take an alternative route from the Trafford Centre?

Onto the M60, then almost straight back off, west along the A6144 Carrington Spur (70mph single carriageway road ), through 2 sets of lights, through Carrington, through Partington, and turning left down towards Dunham Massey? From Dunham Massey, straight across down towards Bowden, then onto Hale Road, straight across the M56 and on towards Wilmslow, then North through Styal, and eventually come around and hit the tunnels heading West?

Something a bit like this:

Any route is fine by me, wherever, just as long as we end up at the tunnels
