Car Alarms - Pug306 1.6i meridian

Hello chaps and chapesses if there are any around.

I'm sick of having my pug broken into, and since they did, I notice that the whole security system is deactivated by simply lifting the earth wire.... lovely design pug :/

So, I'm delocking it and getting a better alarm.
I've been quoted £240 for the delocking, and can probably stretch to £300 *tops* for the alarm (fitted is better, I'm a total loser at installs :P)

I'm considering the toad flavour thatcham cat 1 things, but people keep saying clifford to me, but I suspect they're out of my price range entirely.

Can any of you reccomend any devices, and places to aquire them? I'm feeling rather clueless, and as ever with products, google gives a *glut* of horrible websites selling them, and not much else.

Any idea, if there's 1) any point, 2) I'm being ripped off 3) what's any good at all in that price range?

I've had my gps system ripped off, so I get lost all the time now, and I cant claim for it 'cause direct line are crap

So, hey, I'm new, and that's my little, "isn't owning a pug dreamy" rant.
